Such an ability, which allowed people to overcome such things, was very likely extremely rare, as such circumstances were rarely seen in the world, though subtle signs of it were shown in various places.
One of those methods just so happened to be related to one of her most recent partners.
The ability of Law was just as highly coveted for its power to grant eternal life in exchange for the user's life.
Knowing of the Law's abilities and the plans Doflamingo had for it had already given Alyssia some insights into what might be possible in the world and what methods could be used to maintain power for powerful influences.
One of those was the ability to live beyond the natural lifespan, which would help anyone maintain their reign over what they ruled.
The situation of Una had only helped to assert that such a thing could be possible.
There was silence that had returned, as only the flames in the surroundings seemed to add to the overall atmosphere.
Alyssia sat there with an intimidating aura as she overlooked her surroundings.
Una continued to lie there motionless, completely open to attack, but Alyssia made no move on her.
It was more like she was watching over her in that state, just in case anything happened to her.
That was the respect she could show to a worthy opponent whom she respected.
She would never know who could come to take advantage of someone when they were in a weakened state.
Alyssia did not fully know about all of the relationships and such involving Una that could be going on in the background.
There were always rulers who held great power, only to fall as a result of being betrayed by their own people.
Even if Una's knights were loyal to her, which had been shown to her through the way they followed her, there could always be a time when anyone could choose to go against her.
That would usually be when the person they followed showed weakness and could be defeated.
An invincible being that could be defeated would not be so scary or awe-inspiring as it once was.
When it came to the figure of worship, the beliefs of the people who served them were so devout that they would believe such people to be similar to or to be actual gods.
That belief would lead them to believe that gods could not be overcome by humanity and that such gods were incapable of dying or even going as far as believing that they were incapable of bleeding.
When such a belief was shattered, there was no telling how such people could react.
Even if Alyssia did not see eye to eye on some of the things she had come to learn about Una and what had driven her to do a lot of the things she had done, she had to respect her in various ways enough not to let Una have her image damaged as a ruler and religious leader.
The core of what had been built within Empirica Island had been built by Una, which had taken a lot of willpower to achieve, especially under poor conditions.
The present state of Empirica Island was better than a lot of the outside world, even if it was isolated and had fallen behind when it came to certain developments.
The people were happy; there did not seem to be much crime, the people could find work, and there seemed to be nobody starving or without a home.
The only people on the island who seemed to suffer were those who were kicked out of the city walls, but there had to be reasons for such things happening, even if Alyssia did not fully understand or agree with each decision behind it happening.
It was not her country, so she could not interfere too much.
She also knew that Una would have limitations with how she ruled over Empirica.
There would likely be fewer opportunities for Una to intervene in certain events and to be able to look more deeply at what was happening in her own country.
The smoke and flames in the surroundings had yet to vanish, making them provide a little more cover for Alyssia and Una in that moment.
It was difficult to fully see what was happening within, so while Alyssia had managed to extinguish some of it, there was enough left over to form a complete circular wall of flame to keep others out.
Time passed by in silence while Alyssia was busy tending to her wounds.
It was lucky that she had stolen some of the water earlier, so she drank some and poured some on her body to assist with the treatment of her outer body and internals.
While she did take a certain amount of it that she would be able to take with her, she got enough of it to be able to take it in the present without having to worry about wasting it.
The current usage was quite suitable as it would allow her to recover quite quickly, leaving her a way to be ready for anything unexpected that could happen once the battle was over.
The rest of what she had left over was already set aside so that she could have enough to study its properties further while still leaving some for emergencies should she ever need it.
After feeling a little more refreshed, she couldn't help but go over the fight she had just experienced.
Many insights were gained through it, as she found where she was still quite lacking.
She may have started less experienced with her usage of Electro and her other techniques, but she had been able to improve them when facing a far more experienced fighter like Una.
After recovering enough, she saw that there was some life returning to Una. "So you are finally awake."
Una groaned, still lying there weakly. "Why did you not kill me?"
Alyssia shrugged in response. "Why did you not use your trump card?"
Una let out a disdainful laugh. "That would have been an insult to both you and me. You did not use your trump card either. If I did, then that would only give you an excuse to use it."
She had to admit that it had been a long time since she had felt herself feel so alive.
Living her life from day to day, being restricted to Empirica had become boring and tiresome.
It would especially be the case for someone who had lived long enough to make them lose a lot of what usually makes a person be considered human.
Every experience would be considered trivial, as it would be something that would be expected to happen after experiencing it many times before.
Una thought to herself. 'Like I would use my sister's water for something like this so easily. Whether I die here or not just meant that I was not strong enough and did not have the strong willpower needed to achieve everything and to protect it.'
She believed that she had spent all of her life honing herself to be the perfect existence that could not be defeated.
She had believed that if there was to be someone who could one day defeat her, then the odds of it happening were very low.
If it did happen, then she would take her defeat gracefully.
She understood a lot about conquerors as she was one herself.
If someone could overpower her as a conqueror, then it just meant that she would live or die according to their whims.
