Sorry for the delay over the last few days, guys.

A faint evil smile lingered on Jack's face as he slowly turned around in the metallic corridor of the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier. The low humming of the engines vibrated through the walls while white lights illuminated the narrow passageways with a cold glow. Not far away, Maria Hill was walking toward him with her usual composed steps, her expression as indifferent as ever.

Jack immediately straightened his posture and revealed a polite smile.

"Hill sir," Jack greeted warmly, "what a coincidence. Are you also going to the restroom?"

Hill stopped in front of him and looked at him quietly for two seconds.

"There's no restroom here," she replied flatly. "What exactly are you doing here?"

Jack coughed lightly, pretending embarrassment.

"I accidentally got distracted by the beautiful scenery outside the Helicarrier," he said seriously. "Then I lost my way. When I regained consciousness, I was already standing here."

Hill stared at him expressionlessly.

"That excuse doesn't even make logical sense."

Jack shrugged helplessly.

"Fine. Actually, staying in the command room was too depressing. I just came out to get some fresh air."

Hill's sharp eyes studied him carefully.

"Tom," she said slowly, "you're supposed to be an ordinary Helicarrier soldier, correct?"

Jack nodded immediately.

"Completely ordinary. Today is probably the most attention I've received in my entire life. Before this, nobody even noticed me."

Technically… he wasn't lying.

Nobody had ever paid attention to "Tom."

Hill frowned faintly.

"But I don't think you're that simple."

Jack smiled inwardly.

As expected of a Level 9 S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. Her instincts were extremely sharp.

"Oh?" Jack tilted his head. "What makes sir think that?"

"The way you operate the command systems," Hill replied calmly. "Your reactions. Your awareness. Your behavior under pressure. None of it resembles a normal low-ranking soldier."

Jack sighed dramatically.

"That's because I've always wanted to live as a low-key person."

Hill crossed her arms.

"And now?"

Jack looked directly into her eyes.

"Now I met someone."

Hill's brows moved slightly.

"What kind of person?"

"A person like you."

Hill looked genuinely surprised for the first time.

"Me?"

Jack nodded seriously.

"Yes. Because Hill sir is a good person."

Hill stared at him silently.

"No one has really cared about me before," Jack continued softly. "So when someone suddenly shows concern… I naturally want to perform well in front of them."

His voice sounded sincere enough that even Hill became slightly uncertain.

Of course, if White Queen were present physically, she would probably die laughing on the spot.

Jack continued shamelessly.

"I know you only intended to punish me earlier," he said. "But honestly, it still felt warm to me. Like someone actually cared whether I lived or died."

Hill's cold expression finally weakened slightly.

"…You really know how to talk."

Jack immediately seized the opportunity.

"Hill sir," he asked carefully, "can I hug you once?"

Even Jack himself expected rejection.

But surprisingly…

Hill was silent for several seconds before quietly answering:

"…Fine."

Even Jack blinked once.

Interesting.

He had only been testing her casually.

But she actually agreed.

Jack immediately stepped closer.

"Hill sir," he said seriously, "you're truly a good person."

"Stop talking nonsense."

"Yes, yes."

Jack slowly wrapped his arms around her.

The moment their bodies touched, Hill's body trembled almost imperceptibly.

Warm.

Strong.

That was her first instinct.

She could clearly feel Jack's heartbeat through his chest. Steady. Powerful. Surprisingly reassuring.

For a brief second, Hill felt strangely relaxed.

Meanwhile, Jack lowered his head slightly beside her ear.

"Hill sir," he whispered with an evil smile, "this feels really nice."

"Don't talk."

But suddenly—

Jack tightened his arms slightly.

Hill's chest was instantly pressed firmly against him.

"You—"

Anger flashed through Hill's eyes immediately.

Jack quickly spoke innocently.

"Sorry, sir. I couldn't help myself. This feeling is just too good."

Naturally, he showed absolutely no intention of letting go.

At that moment—

"Ahem."

A dry cough suddenly echoed through the corridor.

Hill immediately pushed Jack away and turned around quickly.

Natasha Romanoff stood not far away with crossed arms and an amused smile.

"It seems," Natasha said slowly, "I arrived at a bad time."

Hill's usually cold face showed an extremely rare trace of embarrassment.

"You misunderstood," Hill said immediately. "Nothing happened between me and Tom."

Natasha's smile deepened.

"Oh? I didn't say anything."

Hill glared at Jack fiercely before turning around and walking away quickly.

"I hope," Hill said coldly without looking back, "that you won't disappoint me."

Jack watched her leave while smiling faintly.

Interestingly enough…

Her ears were slightly red.

Natasha slowly walked toward Jack.

"You're impressive," Natasha said with amusement. "Since I joined S.H.I.E.L.D., Hill has never smiled at anyone, never allowed a man near her, and definitely never allowed someone to hug her."

Jack spread his hands innocently.

"I'm just naturally charming."

Natasha laughed softly.

"Young man, your skill at chasing women is extraordinary."

Jack lowered his voice mysteriously.

"It's a secret technique."

Natasha shook her head while smiling.

"Honestly, I support this relationship. If someone can actually conquer Maria Hill, it'll become S.H.I.E.L.D.'s biggest news story."

Jack suddenly looked at Natasha.

"Romanoff sir," he asked casually, "why did you come here?"

Natasha's expression returned to calm professionalism.

"To see Loki."

Jack's eyes flashed slightly.

"Interesting. I also want to see how impressive this so-called god really is."

Under Natasha's lead, the two walked through several security corridors before arriving at Loki's prison chamber.

The massive circular containment cell hung suspended over an enormous drop shaft. Thick reinforced glass surrounded the chamber, originally designed to imprison the Hulk if necessary.

Loki stood inside calmly with his back facing them.

The moment he sensed their arrival, he smiled faintly and turned around.

"So," Loki said elegantly, "what brings the two of you here?"

His eyes landed on Natasha.

"Ah… Natasha Romanoff. I knew you would come."

Natasha remained expressionless.

"You were expecting me?"

Loki smiled lightly.

"Fury won't understand my intentions. But you… you're emotional enough to come personally."

Jack almost laughed hearing that nonsense.

Natasha ignored the provocation.

"I'm here to ask about Barton."

At the mention of Hawkeye, Loki's smile became playful.

"Ah… love."

Natasha replied calmly.

"Children talk about love. I simply owe him."

"Interesting," Loki said. "Tell me more."

Natasha leaned slightly against the railing.

"Before joining S.H.I.E.L.D., I was infamous. Assassin. Spy. Killer. Barton was sent to eliminate me."

Her voice became quieter.

"But instead… he gave me another chance."

Loki nodded slowly.

"A touching story."

Then his smile deepened maliciously.

"If I return Barton safely… how will you repay me?"

Before Natasha could answer—

Jack suddenly spoke lazily from beside her.

"Maybe we can feed you flies."

Loki's eyes immediately shifted toward Jack.

"You," Loki said coldly, "are that insignificant soldier from the Quinjet."

Jack smiled brightly.

"Yes. And you're the fool wearing antlers."

Loki's expression darkened slightly.

"Does someone like you even have the right to speak here?"

Jack shrugged casually.

"Not really. But mocking idiots is one of my hobbies."

Natasha almost smiled hearing that.

Loki ignored Jack and looked back toward Natasha.

"So? How will you repay me?"

Natasha answered immediately.

"By releasing you? Impossible."

Jack nodded seriously beside her.

"Exactly. Honestly, I think the zoo suits you better."

Loki's smile slowly disappeared.

His eyes narrowed dangerously toward Jack.

And Jack…

Simply smiled back with even greater interest.
