The silhouette of the girl within the drapes lay languidly like a cat stretching, with the flickering candlelight making her shadow dance as well.
But soon after, her silhouette seemed to double. The girl stretching did not move, yet another identical figure sat up from her side, propping itself with a hand on the bed.
Shard wasn't surprised; he merely raised an eyebrow. The head of the witch had already emerged from the closed drapes, the long-unseen, beautiful Twin Witches looking at Shard with a smile full of delight:
"Shard! Aren't you surprised at all? Audrey and I specifically timed the expiration of the magic potion 'Cat in the Bottle' and even prepared cat costumes in advance before coming to find you."
Unlike the mermaid in the water, when "Desire" surfaced, Shard could not tell there were shoulders below the water, but Megan emerging from the drapes allowed Shard to see the whiteness of her shoulders... Transforming with a magic potion does not include clothing.
