Her head was originally resting on Shard's shoulder and slightly tilted upwards, now her narrowed eyes suddenly opened. Having been through countless battles, and faced various dangers and challenges, she ultimately succeeded in controlling her body, suppressing any instinctive reactions of astonishment that might alert Shard to something amiss.
Yet even so, the tremor from Shard's soul temperature, mixed with astonishment and fear, was a complex emotion she hadn't felt since waking from the "Present World."
In a trance, there was a gentle yet chilly laughter in her ear, and this time, the long-haired girl was finally unable to control the tension in her muscles, leaving Shard somewhat bewildered by her unusual reaction:
"Is something wrong?"
