Cherreads

Chapter 1266 - The Diary

Facing everyone's greetings, "The Fool" Klein nodded with a smile, responding to the gentlemen and ladies of the Tarot Club.

After the members finished exchanging greetings and took their seats, Audrey's gaze swept across them as she habitually began her observations.

Almost instantly, she noticed that Madam Hermit's mental state and body language indicated that she was worrying about something.

Related to the Queen of Mystic? Or some other issue? Or perhaps a combination of both? Justice Audrey felt a trace of surprise and curiosity as she pondered the possible reasons.

After so many Tarot gatherings, she had long since drawn a "psychological profile" of Madam Hermit. She believed the latter to be quite a contradictory Beyonder—experienced, knowledgeable, steady and capable, yet in certain aspects bold and reckless, like an underage girl.

Combined with the relationship she had displayed with the Queen of Mystic, Audrey's interpretation was that although Madam Hermit had gone through much, many of her problems had been smoothly resolved under that queen's protection and arrangements. Deep within her heart still lived a little girl longing for care and protection.

And it was precisely because of such a hidden state that Audrey boldly guessed that when Madam Hermit encountered someone who had been "abandoned" without committing any serious mistake, she would unconsciously pity them, sympathize with them, and help them.

At the same time, based on the information that she was female, active at sea, possessed strength at Sequence 5, had quite a few mystical items, was well-traveled and experienced, liked to wear a pair of thick glasses, and had interactions with Gehrman Sparrow, Audrey believed that by casually flipping through pirate-related wanted notices and newspapers, she could determine Madam Hermit's identity without any doubt.

No, Madam Hermit should already be a Sequence 4 demigod now. There aren't many matters that could make her so worried… As thoughts raced through her mind, limited by insufficient understanding, Justice Audrey had no other line of speculation beyond the direction of the Queen of Mystic, and naturally wouldn't think to guess about some "Mushroom King."

However, Ebner, who had planted an "eye" on the Future, knew the truth very well. He guessed that Cattleya was most likely troubled by the fact that Frank actually wanted to advance to Druid by directly consuming the characteristic without holding a ritual.

In addition, as time passed, the issues with that "artisan" Sharf were becoming increasingly serious. His spirit body had even turned into a "conjoined person"!

Fortunately, based on observations of the "River of Fate," the problems of both Frank and Sharf were still in a latent stage and would not erupt in the short term.

And before they erupted, even Ebner could not see through the root of the matter.

While Ebner was pondering, Justice Audrey spoke before Hermit Cattleya could, looking toward the head of the mottled long table.

"Honorable Mr. Fool, I have collected three pages of Roselle's diary."

These three pages of diary all came from the Psychology Alchemists. In fact, they were provided by "Pride" Hvin—or rather, by Ebner.

Of course, they were genuine and not fabricated by Ebner himself.

"Very good…" The Fool Klein nodded. As he teleported the diary pages to his side, he casually asked, "What do you want?"

Because she had obtained the Beyonder characteristic of Dreamwalker from the Queen of Mystic, Audrey temporarily lacked nothing in particular. After thinking for a moment, she asked,

"Honorable Mr. Fool, I would like to know if there is a way to separate the lower-level characteristics contained within a Beyonder characteristic?"

That way, a Sequence 5 characteristic would become one Sequence 5, one Sequence 6, and one Sequence 7. The advancement materials for me, Susie, and Islant would all be prepared… Audrey calculated inwardly.

Yes, her "bag-carrying assistant" Islant had also successfully been brought into Audrey's circle of sponsorship. He enjoyed the same treatment as Susie, except that his feeding order was after Susie's.

For this question, Klein actually did know the answer. Ebner had mentioned it before while "popularizing" the abilities of various Sequences to him.

Easily muddling through another question again… Klein chuckled inwardly and said in a relaxed posture, "Ask a 'Lightseeker' to make a move, and your problem can be solved.

"A corresponding Sealed Artifact would also work."

"Lightseeker"… Sequence 4 of the Sun pathway? Justice Audrey first glanced at the opposite Sun, Derrick, but then secretly shook her head.

Mr. Sun hadn't even finished digesting Notary yet. He was still far from Lightseeker.

Perhaps Mr. Tower and Mr. World might have a way… Thinking this, Justice Audrey stood up, lifted her skirt, and curtsied toward the head of the table.

"Thank you for your answer."

"There's no need to mind it. This is an equivalent exchange." Klein nodded slightly, then noticed that Hermit Cattleya had not interjected and seemed not to have obtained any new Roselle diary pages.

Has the Queen of Mystic turned her attention to other matters again? Klein thoughtfully glanced at Ebner, instinctively feeling that this matter was very likely related to him.

In fact, he had not guessed wrong. This week, Bernadette had stayed within the "Ghost Empire," exploring the "world" her father had once experienced.

This was part of the compensation promised to her when dealing with the Angel of Fate.

Opening the three diary pages manifested by Miss Justice, Klein began to read them carefully.

The palace, like a giant's dwelling, grew quiet.

"July 8th. Inspired by the 'Wishing Lamp' and the 'Goddess of the Pool,' I want to conduct an attempt.

"The content of the attempt is to use the authority of the 'Knowledge Emperor' to write a 'wish-type' story and imbue it with power… to see whether it can achieve the purpose of resurrection…

"For example, I have decided to first create seven Dragon Balls, then 'write' the knowledge of the 'Seven Dragon Balls' into this world's 'information repository.' That should allow the ability of the 'Divine Dragon' to be reproduced.

"Mm, since I've thought of it, I'll do it. I'll first create the Dragon Balls.

"July 10th. The Dragon Balls have been successfully created. The related 'knowledge' has also been temporarily added to this world's 'information repository' and has begun to spread on a small scale in certain areas.

"July 12th. Failed… It still doesn't work. The process of summoning the 'Divine Dragon' through the 'Dragon Balls' went very smoothly, but the 'resurrected' person was still either a monster or an empty shell…

"This isn't even as effective as the 'Lamp God'!

"Just being a 'Knowledge Emperor' is still not enough… It seems escaping the corruption isn't that easy!

"However, by borrowing the method of 'wishing,' perhaps I can allow the 'avatar' I split off to resurrect independently…

"I have a concept. This might require borrowing the power of Zaratul, or even Liu Bo, to complete."

This page ended here. As Klein flipped to the second page, he inwardly speculated:

"Your concept was that Dream Labyrinth Tower, wasn't it?"
