Lyra admired her baby bump in the mirror. Her reflection was blurry and unclear on the polished copper plate. Glass did not exist in the Beastworld yet. Most of the mirrors here were made using copper and silver. Doing makeup was difficult in this place and the most she could do was groom herself and apply rouge during special occasions. It helped her in a way, she was no longer worried about how she looked every waking hour.
"Is everything to your liking?"
She heard a familiar voice and turned to see Victor enter the room. A smile bloomed on her face as she nodded, glancing around the room and said, "It's perfect" This was where she would be living during the coming rainy season, or better yet, until her baby is born. She wouldn't be able to move around in a few more months, "This is a beautiful place, Victor"
The Vulture tribe rested atop the picturesque mountain valley. One could see the entire city from this place making it the highest point in Beast City.
