I trained without stopping for what felt like a lifetime. To be exact, three hundred sixty-three days had passed since I first stood up on that spotless white floor.
During that time I'd done nothing but the basics — push-ups, running, pull-ups, sit-ups, the kind of routine any gym rat back on Earth would recognize. There was one strange thing about it, though: I never got tired. Not once. And when I trained, it felt so addictive that I could barely make myself stop once I'd started. The strangest part was time itself — when I thought three days had passed, exactly three days had passed. I only knew that for certain because of the massive timer floating in the center of this gym-like void.

Looks like another day had gone by. Impossible to tell by the light, since it was permanently, blindingly sunny in here.
It's not so bad, I guess.

My strength and speed were climbing fast. Endurance and Wisdom, not so much. Seriously, why did I have to punch myself repeatedly just to nudge Endurance up a single point?
Well, whatever. Let's keep training. It genuinely feels amazing.
Ten more years passed.
By now I could run faster than a Lamborghini could dream of — somewhere around four hundred kilometers an hour, if I had to guess.

Am I dumb? Fifty-five Wisdom after ten years of training? Seriously?
Anyway — these stats have grown a lot. I can't wait to push further. No point wasting time complaining.
Another nine hundred years passed.
It's already been nine hundred years?! Why did that feel like a few days? Haha. I think I might actually be losing my mind out here.
Let's just check my status. It should have grown quite a bit by now.

That's a serious jump. Guess even my "otherworlder's knowledge" gives a decent Wisdom bump.
L-Let's keep going.
Somewhere around year nine hundred and sixty-seven, I stopped counting the days on purpose. It wasn't that I'd given up — quite the opposite. For the first time since I'd woken up on that white floor, I wasn't afraid of the number on that timer anymore. A trillion years used to sound like a prison sentence. Now it just sounded like a very, very long gym membership. I could work with that.
