For humans, the word Underworld carried a terrifying meaning.
It was believed to be the afterlife—a realm where evil souls and sinners were punished for their crimes. A place of eternal suffering, endless torment, and unending punishment for the wicked after death.
Some stories described it as a vast, smoky land covered in fire, filled with an indescribable and suffocating stench. They imagined demons and monsters roaming through the darkness, waiting to torment the dead.
But those stories were only partly true.
To the beings who lived there...
The Underworld was simply home.
Demons were supernatural beings associated with darkness and malevolent spirits. Some influenced humans to commit terrible acts, while others lived ordinary lives among their own kind.
