We were finally done with the creation of the elixirs and was now being distribute around the world. Doctors were continue monitoring the patients who have receive the elixir to see the after effects and to see if there is still needed to be done. With this, we learned that people whose life force were too far gone, cannot be cured by the elixir but instead we're relieve by the pain and die. This cause an outrage for some families whose family members die. I receive a lot of hate especially in the social media but that outcome is something no one foresee. Finding a cure doesn't mean it can cure everyone especially those whose illness is so far gone.
"This comments about you brother are so harsh, I need to say something, I just can't take it"-Diana.
"I don't mind them, they are hurting, and not everybody will be satisfied with the help you offer"-Demetri.
"I do mind, I really need to say something"-Diana.
Diana get off her seat and stormed off her room. I follow her to her room and see that she started a livestream. I just watch her and saw on her phone that her viewer count started going up. Not long, some people join her stream, some are agreeing to what she was saying, and some don't. I quietly close the door and work on the project that I have been working on after making the elixir. I was attempting to recreate the artifacts I found in Ceres and the one that Flint handed to me.
Since the making of artifacts were too far long gone and forgotten, I have to ask the oldest beings I know, that would be Zael and Evienne, if they have knowledge in creating one. Zael was too focused on his experiments on creating new beings that learning how to make artifacts doesn't cross her mind. For Evienne, she said that she knows how but with the level of the artifact that I have, the only one that could help me was her sister, Thalia.
I tried finding instructions from Visyries book, and I found what I have been looking for making an artifact but sadly its not this specific artifact. Reverse engineering one of the artifacts also help. Since I broken one, I need to at least create four more of these.
What I remember when i was still studying at the sorcerers academy in the other dimension about the history of artifacts, only the direct bloodline of the creator of the first type of artifact can recreate one, and since I am a descendant of the first elden that is not a problem, what I am worried about is that it needs the help of the current great oracle to activate it, which is again Evienne's sister, Thalia, who is still missing. So I decided to create the artifacts first before I worry about the biggest problem and that is activating them.
I was about to exit the door to go the HA to gather the additional materials that I needed when suddenly, two of the marked men started attacking me. I deflect both of their attacks and leap myself away from the house to keep the danger away because Diana is inside.
"You two are huge"-Demetri.
The past marked men that attacked me were all just power up non-awakened people, that's why I can easily defeat them, but these time it was different, these two were awakened and both are tanks type. The person behind this must have find a way to affect awakened hunters.
They both charged at me, I retract my blades and deflect any attacks they thrown at me. As much as possible I don't want to hurt these people because they were being controlled. I cast paralyze in every attacks I made, this should be working immediately but something is different, there two are different, like the one behind this up their ante or maybe the effect of the marks differs when the affected is an awakened hunters. This ones are much stronger.
I make the paralyze casting much stronger and also added some mental attacks that takes on effect finally. I was able to defeat one of them and was about to inflict another attack on the other one when my mana core started heating up again that make me clutch to my chest because it hurts just like every time it happened. The pain is going to make me past out, that I will not be able to deflect the attack the mark man will do, thank God Daya came out of nowhere and knock the man out.
"Demetri! are you okay? oh my, you're mana core, it's happening again, Demetri! hey, HEY!"-Daya
"Daya, right on time, call Jack and take me in because I am gonna pa----"-Demetri.
All I can here before losing my consciousness is Daya calling my name, and being lifted up be her and rush inside our home.
When I finally gain my consiousness, I saw Diana, Daya, Kaya, Evienne and Joel all in my room. All their talking was all blabber for me at first but when I was fully awake, I heard them talkinh about my core.
"We need to find the cause why his mana core is acting up, this can cause trouble in the future especially when he is in the middle of a battle"-Daya.
I help myself sit and when they saw me awakae they all got closer to my bed.
"How are you feeling brother?"-Diana.
"My head just hurts a little, the rest is fine, even my mana core, thank you Daya for coming right on time"-Demetri.
"I'm glad I was able to come in time, we should really find the source of what causing this"-Daya
"You're right"-Demetri
"Maybe finding out the cause will not be found with just simple appraisal or monitor, like we needed to use something that can go beyond appraisal like your true eyes"-Joel.
"You are right Joel, I wish my sister was here, she can see beyond what true eyes can see, she might be able to find what is happening with you Demetri"-Evienne.
A loud knock comes from the door and when the door open, it was a panic Flint whose chest is glowing.
"Can someone please help me, I dont know what is happening"-Flint
Kaya quickly approach Flint and tore up his shirt, the light started pulsing. I hear Evienne gasp and when I turn my gaze to her, she was holding her necklace that Joel made for her to help her locate her sister. She slowly walk towards to Flint and the glow brightens even more, this now answers our question where is Thalia is, and that is inside Flint.
