[Penthouse, hours before]
—
The cold air of the luxurious penthouse tore past Clyde as he rushed inside, his heart pounding violently against his ribs.
Fear had seized him so completely that his entire body trembled.
Arman's final smirk flashed through his mind.
"If you want to kill me… then tear down that damn wall around him first."
The words still burned.
Clyde had been furious when he heard them. But he had refused to fall for Arman's provocation. He could not afford to act recklessly, not when that was precisely what Arman wanted.
So he had to let that bastard escape.
And now, with every step toward the penthouse, that anger was giving way to something far worse—
Fear.
Because Arman's other words had begun to haunt him.
"The echo of his voice in that tunnel… everything you heard… It will happen. And you won't be able to stop it."
No... no... it couldn't be!
Arman had only said it to get inside his head. To make him doubt himself. To make him afraid.
