Unfortunately for them, Jiang Suhan completely missed their subtle, guilty reactions. He simply followed Qiao Meixia up the grand staircase. The farther they walked down the upper hallway, deep past the grand master bedrooms and toward the older, neglected wing of the house, the deeper Jiang Suhan's frown became.
The rooms in this isolated, forgotten section of the residence were noticeably smaller, darker, and significantly less luxurious than the lavish bedrooms occupied by the other pampered members of the family. Eventually, they stopped in front of a plain, unassuming wooden door. Qiao Meixia pulled out her key and unlocked it. The door swung open to reveal the sparse interior.
"Have you seen enough?" Qiao Meixia asked, glancing back over her shoulder at Jiang Suhan. "I want to take a shower now."
