By the next morning, Flame got up feeling exhausted, wanting to stay back in bed. But can't help but wonder when his weapon will be done. Flame went downstairs on the first floor only to find this store is bustling with customers.
Kashi spotted Flame as he busying to himself with his customer. Flame can't hear, so he can only wave to catch his attention. Which he did. He did a gesture as he points to number one, telling me to wait. After a moment with a customer, Kashi head over to flame with a note.
"Your weapon is done, follow me." He opens the gate downstairs only to be greeted with intense heat. In the middle, there's a forge as the heat and light flow across the room. The tools hanging on the wall while Dale wearing a mask is hitting on the metal rod. Dale stops as he spotted both of them.
"Hey, you woke up." He puts his tool down as he took off his glove. Then he grabbed the Chain dagger that appears to be more silvery while the dagger is more steel-like smooth as the chain connected to both ends.
Flame smiles, knowing this would last for the longest time. Mythril is known as the lightest metal but it is better than steel. It is fitting for Flame since it also has high flame intolerance knowing it won't melt easily. Flame then bows as in gratitude.
"Consider this free." Dale scoffed as he sat down, smiling, knowing he finished it well. "Also, Kashi, you know what to do? You gotta bring those ores into capital. They want those mythril for Knight academy."
Kashi shrugs, knowing he hauled a lot of mythril. So it makes sense that he has to send it to the military. So they have more advantage in might.
Speaking of the military, the world has some resources, conflict, and monster attacks. So they're desperate for resources and willing to take over their land to gain their military might. All for a selfish reason. There are 3 kingdoms in the world in Nanoon, the Capital that trains their knights, The other city for mages, and finally, the kingdom that only cares about strength. What is most surprising that there isn't war even though all the kingdoms aren't on friendly terms.
"Before you go," Dale added, "You're not going out unless you have a bodyguard. Since this place is packed with adventures so there will be no problem for you to assign one."
Kashi thought for a bit, "No need old man, Flame should be my bodyguard, he is very suited for this mission." Kashi then puts down notes as he shows them to Flame.
Flame eye lightens up as he didn't expect a mercenary to receive any mission. Usually, he doesn't get any commission because well… he's Deaf. Most of the time he just spends his time camping outside in the wild, of course, to search for sens- Nightmare. In the end, He agrees by nodding his head.
Dale looks at Flame, then he sighs. Not like he has any choice. "Fine, you are to leave when the sun is up high." He got up as he leaves to upstairs to greet some customers. Kashi then taps Flame's shoulder and gestures as in "Come here."
'Surprise?' Flame wondered as Kashi went back to the first floor as he went outside. On the right, there's a curtain covered that is probably protected from rain. He took it off as it reveals a 4 wooden wheel and a decent size carriage but it has another wheel on the front of the seat. He then scans that there's a pipe under a vehicle. But there's no setting for horse riding. He's a bit confused, how you going to ride with no equipment supporting you.
Kashi smiles as he's showing off to his vehicle. Then he passes a note "This is Chip, I made them from scratch. If you're wondering how does that works. Don't think too hard and you'll get used to it!!"
Flame was dumbfounded. He was highly curious how's this goes, is it faster than a horse? Kashi then put all of his stuff into his vehicle. Flame doesn't really need to bring a lot of his stuff. Despite that, he's an assassin.
As the sun approaches noon Kashi finishes packing, which last us for days. Since arriving in the capital last for a week at most. It is a long journey ahead.
Dale came out of his shop as he sees Kashi. "There's one thing I forgot to mention." He lets out a worried sigh.
"Old man…" Kashi's chest tightens.
"Told you to stop calling me old man!... Look I knew you for a while, ever since you came in here looking for a job even though you already have money. At first, I refused some services since my shop is looking bad until you changed my mind after seeing your talent." Customer is bursting like always waiting for Dale to come by. "Take this," Dale takes out of his pocket from his vest. Then he grabs Kashi's hand and places it on his hand.
"A goggle!" Kashi said as he checking his new item. "A new prototype oh wow it already has shade!" Holding up high in the air. He's really enjoying it.
Dale feeling proud as he realized that the customer is waiting. "Well, don't die, this will be farewell for now." He disappears into the shop in a hurry.
"What you're talking about? I'll come back as soon as errands are over. Well, no matter" He hops on Chip. Flame is in the back seat wondering what this machine going to do. Kashi smiles as he pulls out a round-shaped Green crystal as puts it next to his steering wheel. The motor turns on as the wind blasts in the pipe. Flame had to grip on something to hold due to how violent the shaking was. Then ZOOM! It went out of the city in an instant. People were shocked at what happened.
Welp, this journey last about a week turned into half of the day.
