Bai Xin arrived with a large retinue of servants in tow, moving at a leisurely pace. Never mind her actual strength—her grand entrance alone was more than showy enough.
Her subordinates, in particular, took after their master. Every last one of them had a roguish, devil-may-care attitude and looked like they were up to no good.
With a foxtail grass dangling from her mouth, Bai Xin spotted Su Ye from a distance, and her eyes instantly lit up.
She ran over to them.
"Su Ye!"
She called out from a distance.
Her shout drew the attention of the crowd still gathered up ahead, and they all turned to look.
Upon seeing the newcomer, the corners of Song Jue's foxy eyes lifted slightly.
"She's here for you."
With that, he turned and walked off in the other direction.
Song Jue's quick departure wasn't because he found Bai Xin annoying; he simply didn't want to be gawked at by a crowd.
Bai Xin's shout even caused the man who had been speaking from atop a large rock to look over.
