Su Qing lifted his crimson eyes, his gaze dark and unsettling as it fell upon him.
After three seconds, Song Jue turned around.
As if he hadn't seen a thing, he turned back the way he came and walked toward the entrance.
He spoke as he walked.
"I just saw an unconscious Bai Xin by the pillar. Were the ice needles in her your doing?"
Su Ye responded.
"Yes. It's just to keep her unconscious for a while. She'll wake up once the needles are removed. She's fine, just lost a bit too much blood."
As her voice fell, Song Jue walked to the pillar, lifted Bai Xin into his arms, and headed outside.
He left just like that, without a single question or hint of curiosity.
Su Ye gave the man sprawled on top of her a light push, loosening her grip on the tip of his tail.
She explained,
"It's not what you think."
A smile played on Su Qing's ruby-red lips as he hummed softly in response.
He didn't say anything.
Then, he reached out and lifted Su Ye into his arms in a princess carry.
