Feroz followed Suleiman through another quiet hallway.
Neither of them spoke.
The conversation about the nameless door still lingered in Feroz's mind.
"What answer am I afraid to hear?"
The question refused to leave him.
He had asked about his father.
About Rahim.
About the Tree.
About Vaheen.
But he had almost never asked what kind of man he wanted to become.
For the first time...
that question felt bigger than all the others.
The hallway slowly widened.
The ceiling became higher.
Soft sunlight entered through narrow openings above.
Dust floated peacefully through the air.
Unlike the dark places beneath the Threshold...
this place never felt frightening.
It simply felt...
old.
Very old.
Almost as if countless people had walked these halls before him.
Feroz looked at the stone floor.
Thousands of footsteps had worn parts of it smooth.
"So many people came here."
Suleiman nodded.
"They did."
"Did they all finish the Learning Path?"
"No."
"What happened to the others?"
Suleiman's expression remained calm.
"Some left."
"Some failed."
"Some believed they had already learned enough."
Feroz frowned.
"And were they right?"
Suleiman smiled.
"The people who believe they have nothing left to learn..."
"...usually stop growing."
Feroz quietly remembered Zarqaan.
Then Haroon.
Then Yusuf.
Even the old man in the Hall.
None of them had ever claimed to know everything.
Maybe that was why they kept learning.
The hallway ended at another large wooden door.
This one was different from the nameless door.
It was already open.
Inside waited a wide stone chamber.
There were no strange lights.
No magical symbols.
No mirrors.
Only five wooden chairs.
They formed a circle.
Nothing else.
Feroz looked around.
"This is the lesson?"
Suleiman stepped inside.
"Yes."
"It looks empty."
"It is."
Feroz smiled.
"I've learned that empty places are usually the most dangerous."
Suleiman laughed softly.
"You are paying attention."
The moment Feroz entered...
the wooden door behind them closed.
The sound echoed gently through the chamber.
Then...
one chair moved.
By itself.
It slowly slid across the stone floor.
Feroz immediately stepped back.
The chair stopped.
A second chair moved.
Then a third.
Finally...
all five chairs faced the center of the room.
Golden light appeared beneath them.
Not bright.
Just enough to outline their shapes.
Feroz looked toward Suleiman.
"Should I sit?"
"No."
"Then what?"
"Wait."
Nothing happened.
A full minute passed.
Then another.
Feroz looked around.
Still nothing.
Finally he spoke.
"I don't understand."
"I know."
"Am I supposed to?"
"Not yet."
Another long silence followed.
Then...
footsteps.
Feroz quickly turned.
Someone had entered the room.
It was...
Feroz.
Another Feroz.
He looked exactly the same.
Same clothes.
Same face.
Same scar.
The second Feroz walked calmly to one chair and sat down.
Before Feroz could react...
another copy appeared.
Then another.
Then another.
Soon...
five different Feroz sat around the circle.
Only the real Feroz remained standing beside Suleiman.
His eyes widened.
"I hate this place."
Suleiman smiled.
"I expected that."
The first Feroz spoke.
"I will protect everyone."
The second shook his head.
"You cannot."
The third answered calmly.
"Then I will protect the people closest to me."
The fourth frowned.
"And what about everyone else?"
The fifth remained silent.
Watching.
Listening.
The real Feroz slowly looked from one to another.
"What is this?"
Suleiman answered quietly.
"Possibilities."
The first Feroz stood.
"If saving everyone is impossible..."
"...then I will die trying."
The second laughed.
"And leave everyone behind?"
The first said nothing.
The third spoke.
"If you die..."
"...who protects them tomorrow?"
Silence.
The first slowly sat down.
The second Feroz stood.
"I will become stronger."
"I will never lose."
"I will defeat every enemy."
The fourth looked at him.
"And when someone stronger appears?"
The second answered immediately.
"I'll become stronger again."
The fifth finally spoke.
"And when strength is no longer enough?"
The second could not answer.
He slowly sat down.
The third stood.
"I will trust no one."
"I'll carry everything myself."
The first looked at him.
"How long?"
"What?"
"How long before you become too tired?"
The room became quiet.
Feroz suddenly remembered the mirror.
"Most people do not choose darkness."
"They simply become too tired to keep walking."
The third lowered his head.
Then sat down.
The fourth Feroz stood.
"I'll trust everyone."
The fifth looked at him.
"Even your enemies?"
The fourth hesitated.
"No."
"Then how will you know who they are?"
Again...
silence.
The fourth also sat down.
Only the fifth Feroz remained.
He slowly stood.
He looked at every other version of himself.
Then quietly said,
"I don't know."
The room stayed silent.
The other four looked at him.
Nobody laughed.
Nobody argued.
The fifth continued.
"I don't know how to save everyone."
"I don't know if I can stop the Tree."
"I don't know if I'll make the right choice."
"I don't know if I'll become stronger."
"I don't know if people will follow me."
He looked down.
"But..."
"I will keep learning."
"I will keep listening."
"And when I fail..."
"I will stand up again."
The golden light beneath his chair became brighter.
The other four slowly disappeared.
Only the fifth remained.
Then...
he also faded away.
The chamber became quiet again.
Feroz stared at the empty chairs.
His own words echoed inside his head.
Not because they were perfect.
Because they were honest.
He turned toward Suleiman.
"What was that?"
Suleiman looked at the empty circle.
"The Learning Path showed you five futures."
"Were they real?"
"They were possible."
Feroz slowly walked toward one of the chairs.
"So only one was right?"
Suleiman gently shook his head.
"No."
"They all contained truth."
"They all contained mistakes."
Feroz looked confused.
"Then why did the last one remain?"
Suleiman smiled.
"Because leaders who believe they already have every answer..."
"...stop listening."
He paused.
"But leaders who know they still have much to learn..."
"...continue growing."
Feroz slowly remembered the old man.
Yusuf.
Haroon.
Even Suleiman.
None of them had ever acted like they knew everything.
Perhaps...
that was their greatest strength.
Suleiman walked toward the chamber door.
Before opening it, he stopped.
Without turning around, he asked,
"Tell me, Feroz."
"If one day people begin following you..."
"...what will you teach them first?"
Feroz stood silently.
He thought about power.
About control.
About fighting.
About survival.
Then he remembered every lesson of the Learning Path.
The River.
The Bridge.
The Mirror.
The Nameless Door.
Finally, he answered quietly,
"I'll teach them..."
"...how to keep asking the right questions."
Suleiman smiled.
This time...
he did not correct him.
Instead, he slowly opened the door.
"Come."
"There is still much left for you to learn."
And for the first time since entering the Village of Echoes...
Feroz felt that the Learning Path was no longer preparing him only to survive the future.
It was preparing him...
to guide others through it.
