Selene finally looked up at him, puzzled. Did he have some potion to help her memory?
Her eyes lingered on him a moment longer than intended, as if trying to piece together a shape that refused to stay still in her mind. Something about trust flickered and broke just as quickly, leaving only uncertainty behind her gaze.
He reached back into his jacket, the inside pocket held the box he had been carrying with him wherever possible in hopes of Dandeline coming back and turning into a good person. Despite that hope still being there Channing knew who needed this more.
His fingers tightened slightly around the edge of the box before he pulled it free, like letting go of it meant letting go of something far more personal than he wanted to admit. The weight of it wasn't physical. It sat somewhere deeper, quieter.
He held he box up for Selene to take, "I hope you accept this gift. I want to give it to you please it on you at all times and hopefully it shall help with the pain."
