It was a dark, stormy night in Detroit, Michigan
"Hey mom, when will the rain let up?" I asked.
"I'm not sure, it has been raining for a few days now.. It may never stop"
It has been raining for a week nonstop.
"Hey Shiro, can you go out and get some groceries please?" Mom asked.
"Sure mom." I replied.
As I grabbed my shoes, I heard a loud bang come from outside. I ran down to check..
"No.. NO! NO MOM! MOM, PLEASE WAKE UP!"
Mom was on the floor bleeding out, with severely deep wounds all over her body. I quickly rushed to the phone in a panic and called 911
"Hello!? Please come quick!"
The dispatch told me "Calm down son.. Breathe and tell me what's wrong."
I took a breath.
"My mother is on the ground bleeding with very deep wounds."
The wounds that look deep enough to be from a pair of claws.
Shiro yells, "Please send help"
"Is there any sort of weapon nearby?"
"No, nor is there any trace of anyone else entering and leaving the house"
The dispatch calmly says, "I will send help as soon as I can."
The police and paramedics arrive a few minutes later.
I was crying, enough to make my eyes hurt.
"Everything will be alright" The paramedic told me.
I nodded, but still petrified about what I had seen.
"Mom.. please be okay.."
I heard my mothers voice: "Why wouldn't I be okay"
Behind me, was my mother.
I was shocked to see my mother, behind me, perfectly fine and healthy.
I blinked a few times, rubbed my eyes and realized that the blood was gone.
"What.. but I just-"
The words would not come out of my mouth.
My mom speaks to me in a soft, gentle voice,
"Shiro, Is everything alright? You seem as if you've seen a ghost"
I reply, "I'm fine.."
What I didn't know was that; what I saw was a vision.
Mom asks, once again
"Hey Shiro, can you go out and get some groceries please?"
I reply
"Sure.."
As I put on my shoes, I see a shadow move in the corner of my peripheral.
I yell at the top of my lungs, which seems to be on instinct.
"Shenzeikano!"
A bright, and shiny sword appears out of thin air into my hands.
As my body moves on it's own, I swing the bright red katana, which seems to be at my mother.
I tried to pull myself back but my body wouldn't cooperate.
The blade phases right through my mother, only damaging the phantom that is out to kill her.
As my heart pounds in worry, my mother is still standing alive and well.
The bright red sword in which is named Shenzeikano, disappears.
