Chapter 43 - An Old Wound

My earliest memory of him is when I was around six and he accidentally pushed me on the ground. My leg was sprained and I cried, but he cried more when the nurse came a little late.

We had known each other since then, and somehow, somewhere, I began to admire everything about him. His smile, his laugh, his eyes and his carefree confident self.

When I was hurt, he would cry for me, if someone offended me then he wouldn't think twice before going to fight them, despite the fact that he used to be a little sick and weak in childhood.

Those were the days when everything seemed so simple.

How can I not fall in love with someone so perfect? How can I not want to spend my life forever with someone who treated me like a treasure?

He made my heart warm with every moment we spend together, and I cherished every second of our time.

We both came from similar background, with orthodox parents that we were too afraid of, and so we found solace in each other's company.
