When he asked me not to leave, that's when I realised that something has been bugging him for quite some time now... I asked him what is it that had been bothering him, he told me how hard it has been for him since childhood as he was shamed by people for being too emotional and his previous relationship also ended because she didn't like him being so emotional. So, that's why he told me not to leave. But when he told me all this, I was really moved and thought how hard it must've been for him to hold his tears back when he couldn't, he was silenced by the society and was pushed to become a man he wasn't. So, I hugged him and assured him that it was a safe space and he can scream and cry his heart out and even then I'll be with him. My love for him wouldn't die just because he's sensitive. Whenever I think about this, I feel really sad at the fact that the society won't let a man cry in peace instead his feelings are crushed and killed. I agree that women have a lot of problems but doesn't mean that men have it any less. Everyone who's a part of society has their problems and it has to be addressed and not suppressed. So, I told him that I found it attractive that he is able to be understanding and sensitive to emotions of others and himself. The society wants people to live in the mould they have been assigned to... But they don't realise how hard it is to live up to expectations of people just so that they won't be humiliated for who they are...So,now he's not hiding his feelings anymore and freely expresses them and that's just a beautiful sight to watch and I hope everyone in life gets a person who is ready accept you as you are.
