Briony's face turned into a fake surprised look. "Oh, you're back!" She cried as if she had just seen him. "Congratulations," She said sarcastically. She was congratulating him because obviously, Aldrich got his absolution and it seemed that her father had already absolved him from his guilt.
From surprise, Briony's face turned indifferent. "Now if you'll excuse me," She said then she continued walking.
Just as when she was passing by Aldrich, she felt his hand wrapped around her wrist. "Briony," He called softly.
As if her body was in protective mode, her body turned and her fist flew right on his nose.
"Aw...fuck!" Aldrich who was taken by surprise hissed and instantly brought his hands into his nose which was no doubt broken and bleeding.
Briony's eyes went wide. She was surprised by her action but she is not regretting it. She was furious at him and thought that he deserved it. "Don't swear!" She said thinking why does everyone around her swear? She hates it.
