After Elijah drank a full glass of water, he cleared the table in front of him so that he could put the dessert plate in front of him.
"I am not interested in him. In fact, I don't give a fuck about him," Elijah said bluntly without looking at Sadie.
"Elijah!" Sadie's eyes went wide because she did not expect him to speak like that about Dylan. She felt her blood start to burn in irritation.
Elijah turned to look at her and continued. "But this is the first time I see you giving attention to someone else other than me…I mean us…your friends. Other than Nora and Megan. I just want to know him and make sure that he will treat you well. That he is treating you well. That he deserves your attention,"
Sadie's eyes soften. She put down her knife and fork and leaned on the couch. Then her gaze went to the view of the mountain range in front of them. She decided to open up to Elijah about what she felt about Dylan which she had never done to anyone except her mother, Nora, and Sadie.
