Early the next morning, Wen Ran called Wen Jin and asked if he wanted her to bring breakfast to Jing Xiaocha.
"Ranran, I've already brought porridge for Xiaocha. You don't need to bring anything."
"Oh, okay. Then I won't bring it. But Xiaocha's right arm is injured and she can't move it. How will she eat breakfast?"
"There's a special nursing assistant taking care of her, don't worry."
Wen Jin answered on the other end of the phone.
Remembering what Mo Xiuchen said last night, Wen Ran asked again, "Brother, was the special nursing assistant also taking care of Xiaocha last night?"
"Yes."
After Wen Jin finished speaking, Wen Ran heard him say again, "Don't move, wait a moment, I'll help you."
Wen Ran's eyes flickered, "Brother, I'll hang up now."
"Alright."
Wen Jin answered gently. He waited for Wen Ran to hang up the phone before he hung up.
His gaze, however, remained fixed on Jing Xiaocha.
