It reacted extremely quick, the ancient Nightrotter retraced a step back, moving his body a bit backward thus dodging Knight Rhendy's horizontal slash but at that very miniscule of moment when the tip of the sword was pointing at the ancient Nightrotter's neck and was about to go complete the half circular motion of a swing, Knight Rhendy activated a spell, " Activate Dimensional Strike!, " and right after that utterance, an arc of fierce black aura discharged from the sword at a tremendous velocity.. Knowing that it was too late for the ancient Nightrotter to dodge, it brought up his arms and to everyone's surprise, it also released a magical aura cladding its whole body in an attempt to block the enemy's attack. This happened in all that mere fraction of seconds. The force of the Dimensional Strike blasted away ancient Nightrotter backwards and it flew directly into the broken tower and collided soundedly on the wall of the tower but it was still unwounded and was still on its feet, it's hands still in defensive position and it let out a beastly screech in frustration.
" Dimensional Strike, huh? " said Lady Tashrani.
" He is quite capable for a knight, " replied grandmaster Jenny.
" It's a high tier spell, although an inferior version of Dimensional Cleaver but it's still a strong sword spell, " said Leeben Hestra.
" And he is quite young, he looks like just around twenty?, " said Cyril.
" He is around that age, I believe. It seems the Order has found a monster indeed, " said Grandmaster Arilyne.
" He is a talented young man, hoho- " said grandmaster Hensord.
"But that ancient Nightrotter is still intact after taking a full force of Dimensional Strike, what a devil !, " commented Leeben Hestra.
" I told you, they are highly resistant to Magic, " said Lady Tashrani.
" Hahah- Son of a-, was he hiding his strength all along? Feibei, that was the Dimensional Strike, right? " said Leon in amazement.
" Yeah, " she replied.
"Haha! Dimensional Strike is a high tier spell, does that mean he is at the level of grandmasters?, " said Leon bitterly.
She smiled and said nothing, her eyes showed that she knew it required no answer but her smile reflected more of an insecure feeling in him. She didn't even say it but Leon instantly realised he was being jealous of Knight Rhendy.
" Weew, " Dheno whistled.
" What a guy!, " Gheno added.
At that moment I noticed that the limelight between the masters was stolen by Knight Rhendy, who wasn't even a Monster Slayer to begin with. All the Grandmasters were totally engrossed in witnessing Knight's Rhendy performance.
The ancient Nightortter agitated and infuriated charged at Knight Rhendy and started attacking him with its claws, effortlessly Knight Rhendy dodged and deflected the attacks in succession and pushed the ancient Nightrotter back.
Without giving the ancient Nightrotter a chance to recover his strength, Knight Rhendy pressured it with a barrage of strikes, each strike packed with multitude of power, they were not necessarily fast swings but stabilized and extremely powerful. Each strike pushed back the ancient Nightrotter, even though it was blocking the strikes with its hardened scales, it was still getting pressured by Knight Rhendy's strength. He was not giving a chance for the ancient Nightrotter to counter attack.
After exchanging blows for a while, finally Knight Rhendy's sword reached the ancient Nightrotter's flesh, a downward diagonal vertical slash penetrated through its chest even though it was hardened with scales. Blood splashed out but it wasn't a deep wound, not enough to kill the ancient Nightrotter. It backed off and retreated few steps in defeat. Knight Rhendy stood there once again in a back stance.
" I didn't know that ancient Nightrotters could develop hardened scales from its skin?" said grandmaster Jenny.
" It can and the lord probably does too I believe, normal Nightrotters cannot but ancient Nightrotters are on a different level," replied Lady Tashrani.
" They even have hairs on their goddamn head!, how ridiculous!," commented Leeben Hestra.
When the ancient Nightrotter was stumbling back at the sight of its inflicted wound, Knight Rhendy used the panic to throw it off guard, he rushed once again and this time he delivered a powerful stab, was not fast enough, it pierced through its upper arm instead of the heart, quickly Knight Rhendy pulled back his sword and attempted to finish it off with another dimensional strike but it retaliated in a fiery rage, it blindly swung his unwounded arm at Rhendy when he was about to swing another dimensional strike but the unexpected attack disrupted his movements and he had no choice but to go back into a defensive stance, he blocked the attack with his sword and as a counter attack he activated a spell, " Activate Phantom Shout!," and a voice that sounded " Whoomm" was released from the spell and blasted the ancient Nightrotter far away back towards the foot of the Broken Tower.
" This kid is full of surprises, he even knows the Frejaria voice spells!," commented Leeben Hestra.
" Hohoho- I haven't seen anyone use voice spells apart from you, sister Tashrani.." said the Grim Doctor.
Lady Tashrani was momentarily silent before she said anything, she was keenly watching Knight Rhendy, the fact that Knight Rhendy used a Frejaria voice spells confounded her because it's not that Frejaria voice spells are hard or rare but they were developed by the Temple of Frejaria and is only unique to the warriors of the temple who were known as the Defenders.
" I'm very curious about that kid's identity," said Lady Tashrani.
" Voice spells are only used by the warriors of the Frejaria's temple, right?" said grandmaster Arilyne.
"Indeed, he must be one then," said Leeben Hestra.
"Even if he is one, I have never heard of anyone capable of using voice spells at that age," said Lady Tashrani. " and I could see he has perfectly mastered the spells, even I took ten years to fully master the voice spells,"
"Where did the Order recruit such a crazy guy?," commented Leeben Hestra.
"He is an interesting fellow," said Grandmaster Hensord.
"He is quite skilled too," added grandmaster Jenny.
" Are Lancers some sort of special knights or what?," asked Leeben Hestra.
" I heard they are a group of highly talented individuals specially selected by the church of Dryphellia, grandmaster Leeben." replied Cyril.
" Really? The Order seems to have changed a lot in these past few decades," commented Leeben Hestra.
" Activate Dimensional Blink, " said Knight Rhendy and he blinked behind the beaten ancient Nightrotter who was struggling to get up but that blink was enough to caught the ancient Nightrotter in confusion, as soon as he appeared behind the Nightrotter his sword was already halfway through the ancient Nightrotter neck and he decapitated it, the head flew in the air and the ancient Nighrotter body dropped dead instantly.
" Haha, at this point I'm not even surprised, this kid even knows dimensional blink, " said Leeben Hestra.
" I wonder what his magic realm is, " commented grandmaster Jenny.
" Must be a Celestial rank, " replied Lady Tashrani.
" Dimensional Magic requires a lot of magic unless he is a Zen ranker, he won't use it that casually. " added grandmaster Arilyne.
Knight Rhendy blinked back to his original position and looked up at the Nightcrawler Lord and said, " One down, " the Lord was watching the whole time without even moving an inch.
Now the Nighcrawler Lord himself decided to take the matters in his own hand, all of his swarm has been killed and none of the slayers were dead yet, it must have disappointed him to see how unreliable his army was. He jumped down from the Tower by himself and landed on the ground almost as if a feather fell on the ground, no sound at all, he landed beautifully like a cat and standing up supporting by the tip of his toes, I realised he has mastered his body and has complete control over his massive seven feet tall body, it was almost as if the devil himself has been reincarnated in the Nightcrawler Lord. Now I could see its face and body a bit more clearer, it was hideous as hell, the horns were glorious but its face very demonic but the aura it emitted, So much power, chaos, brutal and Barbaric in nature! If the aura of grandmaster reminded me of a clam nature then the Nightcrawler was fierce and chaotic like a storm that would tear everything apart in its path but what's more scary was that he didn't emit such barbaric aura when he was watching the battle from the top of the tower, does this mean he can almost erase his aura to conceal himself? How frightening is that?.
And one by one the rest of the ancient Nightrotters descended from the tower and joined their Lord, and I knew the battle of Langmoor fort was reaching its finale or is that what I thought?
As the final battle team of Nightcrawler Lord has been assembled, all the grandmasters approached the arena too, in the middle there was Lady Tashrani with her hands crossed behind her back, beside to her right side was Grandmaster Jenny followed by Grim Doctor and to her left side were Grandmaster Arilyne and Leeben Hestra, they were slowly coming towards Knight Rhendy.
" Lady Tashrani, you don't need to do this. We can't let you be burdened by this, " said grandmaster Jenny politely.
She smiled briefly and replied, " You young folks are strong I know but I would like to be a part of this, "
No one could object to her anymore, they all nodded and smiled in relief. " It would be an honor to fight alongside one of the revered Conquisators, " said grandmaster Jenny.
"Likewise, " replied Lady Tashrani.
"White Claws, Feibei, Knight Rhendy, Dual Fangs! , " grandmaster Jenny called their names as they proceeded towards the Nightcrawler Lord.
" You guys did well, now leave it to us, you can rest. In the name of grandmasters, we will definitely defeat the Nightcrawler Lord. " declared grandmaster Jenny.
They went past Knight Rhendy and faced the Nightcrawlers.
" Knight Rhendy, you have been an excellent help in this battle, you must have exhausted a lot of your magic, Please go and recover your strength, " said Leeben Hestra.
" Ah- please look after my student, Knight Rhendy " added Arilyne.
" Yes grandmasters, " he bowed in respect and retreated back.
The grandmasters stood face to face with the Nightcrawler Lord and his ancient Nightrotters.
" Now, Shall we begin?, " said grandmaster Jenny.
" Let me handle the Lord, " suggested Arilyne.
" As you wish, " replied grandmaster Jenny.
The Lord spoke, " I'm Jennarqish, the King of Jennarase "
" What the heck is this beast muttering about?, " commented Leeben Hestra.
" Let's ask him about that, " said grandmaster Jenny and leaped forward at lightning speed.
