Shirley Lawson began explaining: "The East and the West are different; the West continues a century-old aristocratic system where noble status is hereditary, not completely defined by wealth. Even seeing running businesses as shameful, some commoners become wealthy, economically on par with nobility, yet politically, socially, and culturally they are far less noble than the aristocrats."
Tessa Caldwell asked curiously: "So?"
Nolan Ford provided her with quite a lot of information but hadn't covered this.
Felicity Ford looked at her: "Tessa, you don't know about these things?"
Shirley Lawson said: "It's not surprising, maybe they themselves don't feel anything special about it."
