Why does that name sound so familiar to her?
The surname Lawson immediately brings Timothy Lawson's face to Tessa's mind, but Timothy Lawson has already been locked up by Faye, so it's unlikely to be him. Then, Tessa thought of Wayne Lawson.
Her uncle. She only briefly met him that day and didn't speak much.
She couldn't be certain if the voice on the call was his.
Just as she was thinking, Tessa's phone rang again.
It was the same Mr. Lawson as before, calling repeatedly, yet Tessa kept accusing him of tricking her. Why would Chuck have married such a wicked woman?
He was on the brink of collapse; right now, he had no intention of being polite anymore: "You come here right away, or I'll tear up the ticket."
