Renee Langdon cleared her throat: "That's not true, you're overthinking it."
But every note she uttered was a herald of her guilty conscience.
"Really?" Tessa Caldwell slowly retorted, strolling casually, suddenly reaching out to open the door leading to the living room. Just as she had suspected, Quinn Leroy sat in the living room.
Renee Langdon instinctively bit her lip.
Looking embarrassed.
It was Tessa's fault; when she knocked on the door earlier, Quinn Leroy was indeed in her room, pressing her down onto the bed... But on the other hand, she really should thank Tessa, otherwise, heaven knows what might have transpired.
Tessa's eyes mischievously rolled around before waving at Quinn Leroy: "What a coincidence."
"Not really." Quinn Leroy replied grumpily.
Unlike Renee Langdon's sense of relief, he felt Tessa interrupted his fun.
Tessa clicked her tongue three times: "Such a big grievance, Mr. Songbird, what's up with you? Who interrupted your good time?"
