Wayne Lawson quickly chimed in, emphasizing, "Exactly, we only came because we got a call from the kidnappers, and they clearly said they wanted Tessa to bring the ransom. We told them as long as she went to deliver it, we'd cover the entire ransom."
Lucy Lockwood echoed from the side, nodding over and over, "Yes, yes."
Faye's eyes narrowed slightly, those icy pupils shrinking to slits like a cat's. "Then why don't you tell me where the old man is now?"
It was a warning.

As if he were saying they'd kidnapped the old man.
