"Tonight is different," Faye's soft voice was as enchanting as a hypnotic melody: "The day after tomorrow is our wedding."
Tessa began to giggle but pretended to be troubled: "But what should I do? I'm feeling a bit sleepy and want to go to bed..."
Her eyes gently turned: "How about I say a few things to lull you to sleep?"
Faye's voice remained calm, seemingly tinged with a hint of mischievous tease, deep and hoarse: "Are you sure you're not going to be naughty with me?"
Tessa defended herself: "I would never, don't accuse me, I'm not like you, you dirty rascal."
"How am I a rascal?" Faye asked lightly, his tone calm and breezy.
