Been in Italy for several days, Tessa Caldwell was having breakfast alone for the first time. Faye and Quinn Leroy went to Sicily, and Renee Langdon caught a cold and wasn't fully recovered, sleeping in late, while Grandpa Green wasn't at home.
The same goes for the butler, also not at home.
Usually, the butler and Grandpa are inseparable.
So, with both of them missing, she didn't find anything unusual, after all, they always go out together.
After breakfast, Tessa sat on the sofa, watching TV out of boredom when her phone rang. She glanced at it; it was an unfamiliar number, and it was a local call. Wondering who it could be, she hesitated whether to answer, while her finger unconsciously slid open the answer button.
Before she could speak, a male voice came from the other end: "Hello, is Green your grandfather?"
"Yes!" Tessa answered, puzzled, asking: "And you are...?"
