Faye said softly, "So you can also understand how I felt back then, the anger I had when I found out you and Milo Morton had booked a room, right?"
Tessa Caldwell pushed him away, and said angrily, "Why bring that up again? I never said anything about it. Whatever happened between you and her has nothing to do with me."
"You don't believe me, do you?" Faye asked flatly.
Tessa stated directly, "No, I don't agree. Look, there's nothing between me and Milo Morton, so he never gets tangled up with me. But look at Chelsea Shaw, if there wasn't something real between you two, why would she say you were too heartless when you broke up, hating you so much, yet saying I'm not worthy of you? It's obvious she still loves you. I haven't met Doctor Simon, but I think if she truly loved Doctor Simon, she wouldn't have stopped him from saving my mom."
Faye looked at Tessa intently, remaining silent for a full three minutes.
