Sera POV:
My father looked at me and Axel, before smiling slightly and offering me his free arm. We stood with mother to his left and me to his right while Axel stood beside me; hands in his trouser pockets.
"Robert, these are my pups. Seraphina and Axel Duval." My father announced proudly. Axel stepped up first and took only one hand from his pockets before offering it to Robert (aka pussy alpha). "It's a pleasure to finally meet you. As father said, I'm Axel Duval, heir to the Purple Eclipse territory." Axel said sounding slightly bored. Axel only shows his gentle nature in pack territory. Anywhere else and he is the arrogant heir to Purple Eclipse land and army. The future Alpha King.
"Nice to meet you as well, I've heard much about you from your father. He says you're quite the competent kid." Robert relied. Calling the future alpha a "kid" was a subtle jab but Axel didn't just let it slide. "Father does trust me quite a bit," Axel chuckled, "but I haven't been a kid for almost a decade." He finished with a smirk. Robert seemed to appreciate his attitude and showed a smirk of his own before turning his attention to me. He seemed to expect a greeting from me. How cute, he'll learn soon enough to expect to unexpected with me. I merely smiled and stared back at him. He has jet black hair, much like mine and fathers, but his is long and tied into a pony tail at the back of his head. In contrast to father, Robert has tan skin and sharp amber eyes. His right eye has a three inch, vertical scar running straight through it. From the top of his eyebrow straight to his cheek. We continued to stare each other directly in the eye which I do not recommend attempting at home as it's considered a challenge. But I'd never met this man and the fastest way to know someone is to test their limits. I always have been a curious person, after all. A whole minute passed and I was starting to get annoyed. I furrowed my brows and glared at him unconsciously and the strangest shit happened. He busted out laughing, "Young Seraphina Duval. You're a real character! You remind me much of my oldest son." This man is senile, I concluded. But I guess I should take my own advice, expect the unexpected, eh Seraphina?
I let my amusement with the old man show clear as day in my eyes, one brow slightly cocked and my lips slanted. "You're outside of my expectations as well. Though I believe your eldest son and I wouldn't get along as I'm the most stubborn person I know." I said boldly. He laughed again, a big, hardy, belly laugh before saying, "I'd have to disagree! I think you'd be a perfect match." To this comment, my father felt the need to step in and say, "You think your boy is good enough for my daughter?" Mock dripping from his tone.
Robert looked bored, as if fathers constant jabs were getting old. "You miss understood me old fool. I simply mean that they would get along." My father simply clicked his tongue in reply and I thought the conversation was over but Robert continued, "and to answer you're question, yes, I do believe my eldest is good enough for your princess."
To that, I looked towards who I believed to be the Luna of Devils Moon. The invisible woman that reeks of vampire. She's still there, just watching the conversation while clinging to Roberts arm that's tucked in his pocket. I was curious once again so I asked, "Where's your Luna by the way?"
I observed him carefully while he answered with an unchanging expression. "Unfortunately, she had some family matters to attend to. Hopefully she could meet you all at a different event." Ah, there it was. After he finished his statement he glanced to his side with only his eyes as if asking for approval of the excuse he made. So he can see her as well and she's definitely their Luna. My heart beat rises with adrenaline as I imagine the two princes of Devils Moon's power. I'm itching to fight them.
I never used to be a fan of gore and blood and violence, not when I was young at least. But after certain training exercises that father deemed necessary, fighting feels like breathing to me. I need it like I need air. I used to question my mental health over this bloodlust. Telling myself "This isn't normal." "Other 13 year olds don't feel this way."
It took me years to realize that I'm not normal. I'm supernatural. Whether I like it or not, this bloodlust is part of me. Especially after what I went through; what I've done. But that's a story for another day.
