Grey and Elder Voss shot into the sky just as the two Peak Sovereign Necromancers turned into streaks of light and tried to flee in opposite directions.
"They're running!" Elder Voss shouted.
The duo needed no further words. Elder Voss flew toward the Mayor, while Grey shot after Elder Harrington without hesitation.
The Peak Sovereign Necromancer left the city limits within a single second. At full speed, a Peak Sovereign could cover several kilometers in the blink of an eye, turning into little more than a blur of darkness against the night sky.
Grey combined his space element with wind, light, and lightning, his figure flickering repeatedly as he blitzed past Elder Harrington, who was still chasing from behind.
When Elder Harrington saw Grey overtake him so easily, he was briefly amazed by the young man's speed. Remembering that Grey was a rare Space Elementalist, however, he quickly accepted it as normal despite the clear difference in cultivation realm.
