Aiden Shaw lowered his head and gently kissed her slightly furrowed forehead.
"If I had known earlier that you were the only woman I wanted to protect in this life, I wouldn't have treated you coldly back then."
Tiana Thorne was momentarily stunned by his words, not understanding why he suddenly said this.
"Fourth Brother, actually..."
Aiden interrupted her again, this time with a voice full of helplessness: "If possible, I'd choose a different way to meet you for the first time, so you wouldn't think I was cold."
Upon hearing this, Tiana's heart was suddenly touched, her nose tingled, and she glared at him in playful reproach: "Why are you suddenly saying such sentimental things, making me a bit flustered."
He merely smiled and said nothing, holding her tighter in his embrace.
If he continued to be distant, perhaps the one holding her now wouldn't be him.
And he would just be one of her many brothers.
Thinking of this, his heart suddenly felt a bit uncomfortable.
