After going through the entire interface, along with all the rules and restrictions, Jay quickly gained a clear understanding of how it worked.
The Trade Hall was essentially a virtual marketplace that allowed participants of the Bloodline Realm to trade with one another, provided they had unlocked the Fourth Layer of the Bloodline Emporium or higher.
Among the three categories of tradable items, the most important by far was Exotic Treasures.
The reason was simple. The other two categories, Bloodline Resources such as Bloodline Optimizers, Metamorphosis Reagents, and Bloodline Cleansers, along with miscellaneous items like Appraisal Stones and Return Stones, could already be purchased directly from the Emporium itself.
Trading those items through the Trade Hall incurred a 10% transaction tax. Just to break even, sellers would have to list them at a higher price than what the Emporium charged.
And no one would willingly spend their hard-earned Aberrant Glyphs on second-hand goods when they could purchase the exact same items directly from the Emporium.
The more practical use case was selling unwanted Bloodline Resources or miscellaneous items at a discounted rate.
Exotic Treasures, however, could only be obtained through exploring the Bloodline Realm and being lucky enough to discover them.
For those in need of Aberrant Glyphs, selling Exotic Treasures offered a quick and reliable source of income.
However, Jay knew something that most participants still hadn't discovered.
Anything exchanged directly through the Bloodline Emporium could not be taken outside the Bloodline Realm. That included Bloodline Resources.
Anyone attempting to hoard large quantities of Optimizers, Reagents, or similar items would ultimately be wasting their efforts.
The only reliable assets that could be brought out of the realm were Exotic Treasures, as they weren't subject to the same restriction.
Had it not been for Idran's talent, they would never have uncovered this information and would likely have made the same mistake as everyone else.
Now that Jay knew the truth, it made far more sense to capitalize on that knowledge and hoard as many Exotic Treasures as possible.
Meanwhile, MJ had already begun working on reverse-engineering and decoding the composition of the various Bloodline Resources.
Once that research was completed, MJ would be capable of recreating Bloodline Resources using Exotic Treasures as raw materials. At that point, the value of every treasure they collected would increase exponentially.
Jay then looked at the daily cap on transactions. Each participant could only buy or sell one item every twenty-four hours.
However, among the numerous regulations, one detail immediately caught his attention. The daily cap could be increased through one's ranking on the Bloodline Leaderboard.
Unfortunately, neither Jay nor MJ could find any additional information regarding this leaderboard.
