Mrs. Rhodes said, "Compared to Nina, Serena is really blessed."
Hearing Mrs. Rhodes bring this up, Scarlett Xavier froze for a moment.
She looked at Mrs. Rhodes and said, "That's something I can't help. If one day Julian Rhodes and I don't get along anymore and we separate, won't she also have to learn to face all that?"
Mrs. Rhodes said, "What are you talking about? You are absolutely not allowed to think like that. Having one Nina in the family is already heartbreaking enough."
Hearing Mrs. Rhodes's words, Scarlett Xavier lifted the corners of her mouth.
Julian Rhodes had already sat down beside her. He looked at Serena and reached out to take her into his arms.
Scarlett Xavier said, "I'll go make dinner. Mom, stay and eat with us tonight, I'll keep the dishes light."
She knew Mrs. Rhodes preferred a more delicate, light taste.
Mrs. Rhodes said, "Okay."
Scarlett Xavier went into the kitchen, talked it over with the housekeeper, and the two of them started cooking.
