He stood up, taking long strides towards the stairs, and soon, his figure disappeared from their sight.
Jonas Lawson picked up his teacup and asked, "Test passed?"
Seeing this action, Jonas Lawson knew Autumn Blaine had acknowledged Maverick Knight as her brother-in-law.
Autumn Blaine was puzzled, "How did you know?"
"Of course I know," Jonas Lawson replied. "The person who stole your sister, would you hand him over so easily without a test?"
Autumn Blaine smiled lightly, indeed.
Upstairs.
Maverick Knight turned right, stopped in front of the third room, the door was closed.
He knocked on the door.
He waited at the door for about a minute, but there was no sound or response from inside.
The door wasn't locked, Maverick Knight stopped knocking and entered.
The curtains of the floor-to-ceiling windows were all drawn, making the bedroom light quite dim.
