"Courage?" Shai let out scanned over the parchment reading the Greek one more time with Art faint explanation rubbing through her head, Art and the serpent observed Shai seeing her hands holding it softly, so much it looked like it was levitating, it glowed like Shai's eyes. A dark gold it felt warm. Beckoning her for it. Asking her to try and use it make it appear, Shai kept her hand close to the parchment her eyes drift past the engraved words up at Artimus her kind green eyes met with the ominous golds of Shai's new eyes, Artimius eyes sharpen noticing the pull from Shai and the crafted spell, begging her to use it here, now.
"Yes. Without it there would be no you, no us, without will where is the path forward, no grit cant get the hard task done leaving it to the next, no soul what leaves you a husk of pain and emptiness," Art finished soft understanding the words all too well. The experience burned within her mind and body, Shai nod looking back at the parchment it glowed when she stared at her Shai felt the power reverbing off into her own hands, when she felt the breath of the serpent behind her head making her hair curl over her face, Artimus let out a soft laugh covering it with her hand Shai heard the beast rubble as she blew the hair away from her face, the slight cackle from the serpent,
"It wants you to try it. That is an odd spell you have made Art it has a power of its own,"
"Crafted from an old spell and made anew would do that, Quetzalcoatl, it was a rushed choice but one that was neede dits sound our testing was beautiful, but we need you Shai to master it," Art explained
"It..it wants me to try here?" Shai asked
"It does thats why its reacting to you so odd then i," Art let out touching the small corner of the parchment it decided to stop levitating, it fell into Shai's awaiting hands, it glowed brighter a sign it wasn't her to try it here, Shai felt another large breath on her neck, making her hair fly into her face again, Shai glanced through her hair, catching Quetzalcoatl's serious gaze.
"Theres still room to be cautious Shai this spell might have been tested by Art, but it could be unstable…try it this way try trapping yourself in shield keeping it up just by your will," Quetzalcoatl expressed its tail shifting around art glancing at the hunting goddess, gauge her though on his suggestion, She's deep in thought her hand stayed where she tried to take the spell, she peered at the serpent parting her lips uttering, Made hen shiver from the sheer tone,
"I think that would be worth a try, especially when it's acting so out of order,"
Shai felt a huge gust of wind at her hair flip back her eyes flickered around her Quezatcoatl was now far back into the entrance of the hallway heading to a more wide open space. Art now beside her took Shai's arm tightly her eyes sharpen at Shai, she pulled her forward her voice more grave then Shai would have liked,
"We need an open space where if it gets..out of your hands it would tear Olympus apart,"
"Can I do that? Tear apart something this,"
Shai stopped scanning over the vast opulence of the palace she's in, feeling the power humming through her hand, her vines. The gold that shined through her connecting in a way, Art pulled her out of the hallway following Quetzalcoatl, the serpent flew through the augmenting of halls and room his voice a soft purr cut through the rushing wind to them,
"Not far from when you once trained with the other gods is a small place of green hills old markings from the former ruler of the gods, with rocks scattered about and thriving wild flowers the sun that seems to stay on that spot before Nyx try to claim it,"
"I couldn't see it before," Shai let out her eyes cloudy from the memories flooding back, her fighting with them her sids burned along with the pulsing burn in her vines, but hearing of it made her soul shake, that place made her body shiver and her soul quake, she peered at Art finding not the motherly type she was used to but a serious hunter,
"Becasue it's kept away for a reasonable time might have past, but it always linger,"
"Lingers?" Shai inquired they made it through an entry was with a flash of blue Shai walked down a step, a stone white covered in moss, she looked over the vast hill covered in green, long grass that changed with the wind that Quetzalcoatl made, the wild flowers made a path of its own way forming around the grass like a living shield, Shai didn't feel the smile growing on her face until Art chuckled under her breath,
"You always like watching the wind, seeing it change in a matter of time," Art said, her hand brushing the back of Shai's arm, offering her a moment of comfort. Shai glanced at her, tilting her head off to the side,
"I did it showed the most aggressive storm and the most peaceful night," Shai said, shuffling down the stairs onto the thick soil, it smelled like blooming meadows with fresh rain, the wind rushed around them casting the petals from the flowers curled in the updraft, Shai witnessed it flowing past her, she grabbed onto a petal it was a sun flower, Shai admired the gold in the petal more of it odd power then before, the yellow hint of orange made her feel a pang in her chest, nostalgia. Shai smiled a bit brighter, letting it go, and heard Art beside her stating,
"You have always been like the wind…but also the light"
Art grabbed onto her arm, dragging her to the middle of the hill where Quetzalcoatl flouted waiting for them laying in a large patch of Anemone, the petals thrown into the wind as he rest his head on a large rock, watching them, lackadaisical, his eyes dazed and he huffed,
"Its time to start im starting to get tiered,"
Quezatcoatl let out a soft hiss tongue flicking out, Shai chuckled, watching the serpent curled in staring back at them lazily,
"I see that Quetzalcoatl, I will see to it that you don't get so tired now," Art said as she pushed Shai ahead, striding through the long grass through the patches of wild flowers that tickled her legs, the scent of the flowers that caught in the breeze. Shai followed Art her gaze drifting over the landscape, green and gold of color drifts toward her like an open hand, Shai reached out her open hand it sang to her use it, command it to take the parchment, set it across the growing hill watch it, make it so, Shai felt the power radiating from the parchment, it lifted off her hands before she grabbed it, holding it to her chest when Art let out amused hum,
"It intensified from coming out here,"
Art turned her back to Shai, walking to the almost slumbering serpent a faint wind caught from his wing and nose, his eyes peeked out colored like the stars looking back at her, Art smiled one that seemed dark making Shai froze for a moment, she stared at Art like she's watching an old monster appear from under her bed as she rested, crawling to get her, Shai moved closer to Art, she saw a bow appear in Artemis grasp, Quetzalcoatl purred seeing the bow in Arts hands, he laughed shaking the ground,
"This will be another test for her how amusing i will help if you don't mind old friend," Quezatcoatl purred out his tongue, flicking over his lips, his eyes turned to slits, his wings flutter up, anticipating their next step he raised them higher peering at Artimise holding her bow back pulling the string, an arrow started to show in the bow, it glowed a dark green following the same shine o Artimus eyes,
"Shai, this is your shot!" Artimiuse shouted over the now rushing wind moving past her ears, it felt of singing summer breeze cutting through her warm body, Shai felt the paper shifting through her hands, morphing around her hands wrist, and upper arms, the words formed over the broken pages as Shai peered over them her hand clenched closer to her, staring ahead seeing the deadly gleam coming from the serpent's eyes, made her almost snare at them, she felt that worried it covered her, a shield over her senses, and the parchment reacted to it pulsing around her crafted arms, living pages crafting around the gold glow of her veins, Shai's gaze went back to them seeing the arrow was let go, the wind like a cannon laughed at her, Shai heart raced moving her hand only to feel heavy, her hands were weighted down so much they fell to her side, she watched the wind pick up worse then a hurricane rushed at her,
"A..ahhhh" Shai cried digging her feet she glared up seeing through the wind her hands dead weight seeing the glow from the arrow stayed in place until she heard the string of the bow unleashing the arrow, she heard it cutting through the rushing wind, Shai felt the heat from her veins coursing through her, us her back through her hands while she watched encompassing speed the arrow, Shai felt the rush of adrenaline pulling her hands up the heat from her veins felt like she was burning from the inside, her fingers spread, the parchment followed her movements it flowed around her veins, as if its living, Shai felt it spread around her the words fraying over her hands before it went around her,
"Say it Shai!"
Shai looked ahead where the arrow came from that voice was Artimus, the arrow inching closer to her face, it felt like time was standing around them flipping her off, she stared down at the parchment torn around her upper arms and hands, forcing it out,
"Prostaisa!"
The parchment shifted glowing to the point where the paper vanished from her shout, her eyes burned brighter than before making her eyes tear up, she snared her lips, the whites of her teeth showing, her veins up her arms reached her shoulder inching in her back, he pulsing pain. The heat, that when she can see through the wind a small gold light coming from her hands, she grit her teeth seething out,
"Enai Diathesimi Mono!"
The Arrow was closing in a few inches away from her face. Shai felt the heat like the sun reverberating from her hands, the gold shine casting off her, Shai stare ahead felt a sharp edge of biting at her nose, her eyes widened seeing it close she then saw the shield gold shin that made her flinch back, it covered her a living cover the arrow broke off it sending it scattering across the grown he wind couldn't pick it up. Shai took a step back, her hand still outstretched, she stared at Artemis and Quetzalcoatl, but the wind she couldn't even feel the wind, not even a slight breeze. She could see the wind around her cutting through the grass and wildflowers, she scanned over her upper and lower arms, the gold that covered her holding her like a glove.
"This…is it," Shai moved her hand looking it over, she saw the greek symbols on her hands, her veins seemed to agree with it, she felt the power, the spell push out, Shai looked up seeing there faint outlines but not a voice from it over the howling wind,
"The spell is this, what's it doing?" Shai looked at herself feeling lighter, feeling like a raging flame, cast from hell. She looked ahead hearing a string but a faint, shrill voice, but couldn't make it out, she felt the heat from it intensely. Her eyes burn so bad she felt her lashes burned away,
"Otan!" she shouted
The spell grew around her, the light that covered her went outward, a gold shield as they spoke of in front of her, the shot she heard clashed with it, breaking apart from impact, the wind she couldn't feel it through the gold extension. She stared ahead hearing the hearty laughter coming from Quetzalcoatl, she heard feathers ruffled on the soaring wind and a worrying sigh coming from the mase of wind before her holding a glowing arrow, Shai felt the burning crawling up and down her back incing closer to her legs, she felt the burn hit her neck like a flare gun shot at her neck, she felt the heat building up her neck to her cheeks,
"Shai, you need to prepare, finish the spell, give the new power in you mist the chance, mix it with the spell!" Art shouted hoping to get past through the rushing winds but didn't. She didn't hear it over the wind for Quetzalcoatl, Art peered at Quetzalcoatl he met her gaze his lips curled making the wind a ragging fit in it Artimus raised her bow pointing the dazzling arrow at the newly formed wall, the spell mixed with Shai's new found strength. The shreds of the parchment is scattered over its Art squint seeing the vibrant glow from Shai's eyes matching with her veins,
"Even your most trusted could turn into your most dangerous opponent," Quetzalcoatl hissed his eyes slit at Shai the wind turned into knives cutting through the shield Sha watched it feeling the cuts through her own body, she heard the bow string time after time in the wind its the only thing she can hear…she felt the sting the burning ache like its trying to take her flesh all over her, shaking but tried to stop it she glared ahead her eyes glowed so harsh it cut through the wind Shai felt something building on her chest near her throat,
"YPARCHEI THARROS!" Shai cried pushing against the wind, the earth shook and the wind blew apart,
