Elder Silas was back at his residence, but he was pissed off. He had failed to guide the target, Zack Lockwood, to his death.
Marie made a timely appearance and saved him.
"If not for Marie, the young man would have died already," Silas said to himself.
But the problem was something else. He thought that the young man might have been alerted.
If he went and talked to the young man again, he didn't think that the young man would believe him.
He also suspected that Marie might have informed the young man that he was from the Dark Shadow University.
The name of the Dark Shadow University was enough for the young man not to trust him.
He had failed the task. Now he could only watch others try their methods.
