"You are letting yourself be the bad guy; that is not a good call." The former bank robber saw through the way Kakarot was doing things long ago. Even his Multiforms came down with discipline and punishments and the others never having to. "Are your children Research material the same as us?"
"Everything is Research material, whether it is conscious or not." He gave a strained smile. "I have a lot to do and I am responsible for a lot. I don't mind being the bad guy as they are still alive and will grow from this. Angry at one parent or parental figure is nothing compared to that. Anger is proof they at least think about me and feel something."
"You have yourself available at all times; I would think that would be enough when interacting with them. You go out of your way to make them happy and safe, trying to make up for the past?"
"I like to think so. But children are mysterious things, the same as adults. If they make it to adulthood and are happy, then I am happy. Even if they despise me for treating them like this." Kakarot touched the ground rubbing his fingers. 'The Prototype Culture Fluid.. he was able to gain some from somewhere else, not from the lab since it is in my Internal Space and the Multiform that remained didn't leave any around.'
"You must not have been loved as a child." She said it as a joke but was not ready for what he said.
"I was not. I was a child soldier and a sleeper agent for the majority of my formative and teenage years. I was not really loved until I met Rexford, Hector, Leroy, Mia, and Valencia. It may be cheesy, but the day I left "active" duty and got married to Valencia I was really happy. Then my kids were born, and it just got better. I felt normal for once." Kakarot almost slipped into nostalgia before focusing. "If not for the Biowarfare that took place, I wonder how much happiness I could have felt before the shit hit the fan."
Doing work on the side was fun with Rexford and the mercenary group at times, but he was never bored as a new father.
"Bio-warfare?" Launch blinked rapidly as she put things together regarding why he was so angry. "The Mutagen they took, what was it designed for exactly?"
"That lab was focusing on ways to defeat traits such as sickle cell anemia and rapid white blood cell development. Of course, it was in the pre-stages and nowhere near changed into something else yet. Thus security may have been lax compared to other locations while preparing. But.. if someone really wants something, they will find a way of course. We did not.. no. I did not take into account that they are so intelligent already. The studying and training have made them more than I thought was possible."
"Hmph!" Launch smirked at him, leaning into the hall. "You are proud they did this but won't tell them. How .. dangerous."
"Let's keep it between us of course. Ingenuity is a well-desired trait, I just hope they were not manipulated by someone." The moment she left, Kakarot focused his attention back on his current work. "Haaa, they can only grow stronger or become normal people. Either way is not bad in the end."
As the investigation continued, the Champion used his Aspect of History on key locations that Topaz had been to by using the satellites and heading there. Tracking his movements was annoying but after a while, a pattern was found. Something that defintely was taught to Infiltrators..
The Data just needed to be compiled.
Kakarot and his closes people were in a meeting addressing what happened much later. Toolo and Guru thought the situation was beyond something a simple child acting up. The preliminary findings already showed that much.
Creating the documents and doing a death certificate for Topaz was hard. Especially when he submitted, and a call came through by the Detective assigned to the Red Ribbon Case previously.
The official statement had Topaz dying in a car accident.
"This has to be a mistake!" Bulma's hands shook, holding the paperwork. It was good she was not given a tablet as it would have been crushed in anger. "My sister could not have been behind this!"
"Believe what you want, but the official report will reflect this." Kakarot showed her the report and approved it for the archives. "Tights was involved during the custody arrangements the moment I met the four of them. I left it alone, thinking she thought the kids would slow down my training back then. Chichi, hates child soldiers with a passion, the psychological aspect of it is not lost on me now, whether there is more to it we won't know unless we talk to them about it."
He still needed to go though what's acquired still, but so much work was a priority already.
"She used you not thinking anything of children at that point to make the move, the grieving of both of your children was a blatant exploitation of a weakness. The meeting you two had back then..." Old Gohan leaned back in his chair, crossing hands over his stomach. ".. she left in a mysterious uneven state back then."
"Friendly terms.. then the wish with the dragon. Then that stupid wager made." Bulma looked at Towa, who shrugged. "The population decrease on Earth was less than the fact it was mostly a Defensive Force that left with them. But the Dark King group of ours took care of that small power vacuum left. Winning the tournament helped in that regard. Publicity had people signing up in droves. The concept of Ki is interesting to some but the Philosophy introduced of bettering Health really got them."
She wanted to get away from the conversation of her sister and friend being involved in the inevitable death of Topaz. Even more the idea of them causing trouble like this.
"Good, the gap between different people will close over the years. With a different view and means developing with the help of old Masters like Gohan leading, a kind earth is a possibility. With the Demon's Hand populace taking on the role of the Global Defense Force in the future."
"With you as King of Earth.. how ambitious." Mercenary Tao grinned when they looked at him. "I don't mind it as ruling a country was already a daunting task, but the entire planet is another. I just wish to continue further in the way of Martial Arts and reach the ever-growing ceiling."
"That is why a bunch of us are going to train before I depart for a bit." Kakarot threw an Injector over. "The latest Bio-booster for use. Take it before heading back to Snake Way. Make sure Bongo goes with and the 3rd Unit of Demon Warriors."
The Mercenary took the injector on the spot. Feeling the taste of carrots, he thought everything was ok until he collapsed in increasing pain. His skin felt as if though millions of ants were running through his System.
Watching the process, a few were not looking forward to taking that. It was a good thing it was not mandatory. They just had none to blame if they died later from being weak.

Stepping into the Time Chamber-

"Wow!" Ruby ooed as she was the first one in. The gravity doing nothing to her or any of them for that matter. Paopao only showed a little discomfort by wrinkling her nose. "So much white space!"
The kids all voiced themselves into the echos produced. The changes made so far looked good. Kakarot was able to sense a better atmosphere.
"Ok, all of you kids are with me." Towa stated as she floated along. "This entire year training-wise is to help you understand yourself and to help control the emotional turmoil inside that comes from what you brats did."
Before Topaz went crazy, Paopao was injected but her immediate response was falling asleep. Whether it was because she was so young or the previous incident with Orrin Temple messed with her could have been a factor. Or her training with Towa and Katas in Magic helping her.
"So lectures.. oh great." Lapis huffed in annoyance. He eyed Kakarot out the corner of his eye, who said nothing in response. 'I can't tell if he is mad or not.'
"Yes, lectures. Meditation is key to helping, and children are hard to get under control emotionally that way." Launch stood over him. "This is better than keeping you brats grounded."
The Twins Applina and Anwar slept the moment they entered the place. It was the weirdest thing, but they were fine so it was left alone. Lunch set with them most of the time and sung to them.
Sometime later.
Kakarot's Multifroms sparred against the others in several locations. He himself was floating with Porunga, Guru, Shenron, Katas, Piccolo Jr., and the Dragon Ball children. The mixture of Ki and Magic harmonized as they communicated via Telepathy.
The Dragonball children were able to project the images of the various people and locations during the time they were just Dragonballs in various locations thanks to Kakarot's Aspect of History. The countless wars, killings, and Devastation caused Shenron and Katas to frown.
Piccolo Jr. felt nothing from it but a passing recollection of Deja Vu,
Porunga and Guru took it in stride the same as Kakarot did. The latter guided them to what led up to the war. Not all of it was caused by greed. Some were caused by lack of food and misunderstandings that escalated.
The natural Devastation of the planet was more than anything done by humankind. Not to mention the destruction caused by Dinosaurs and visiting Xenos races to the planet.
Erupting volcanoes, shifting mountains, tidal waves that engulfed entire islands. Natural disasters created such negative energy that made the populace curse the gods for the misfortune.
Katas and Shenron were the first to break away and contemplate what they saw. The Guardian of the Earth was more than regretful that he did not see the situation in a larger scope than before. So intent on becoming the Guardian over several centuries ago, he missed a few things.
"Will they be ok?" Porunga floated above Kakarot and actually looked worried for Katas and Shenron. "I mean.. they are just to emotional to handle the situation. Maybe it is a mistake to let them become stronger. They might go crazy or something."
"Time will tell, but they have strong hearts, I am sure it will be fine with guidance." Guru turned to the Dragonball children and took note of the increase of their power. 'They are growing at an alarming rate. I wonder what his plans are for them?'
"Yeah.. they should be fine. If not.. they will be dealt with." Eyes flashing a dangerous red, Kakarot looked to his kids still deep in thought. "What concerns do you have about the past?"
"None." Eins started opening his eyes first. The one-star Dragonball was so at ease with the way life played out, it was scary. "It is the past and the History allowed the development of peace for now. Conflict will happen as long as different ideals exist. It is a part of life."
"Umu!" Swei agreed, nodding quickly. The two-star Dragonball saw things as they were. "The earthlings now are nothing like those back then. With the proper care, less lives will be lost. But that does not mean we should not be vigilant for certain parties developing more."
"Intervention," Kakarot rubbed his chin in thought before speaking. "armed intervention or diplomatic intervention. Which is the better option?"
"The latter for good people." Drei said as if it was a simple matter. The three-star Dragonball immediately closed his eyes easing back into a sleep state slowly. "If a force invades another or attacks for a small reason, then we should use armed intervention."
"Why not stop them altogether with force?" Sechs questioned his siblings and father.
"Then what do we do after? With force, the opposing party won't necessarily be willing to listen. How do you handle that type of situation in the long run?" The five-star Dragonball frowned as her brother did not think things further.
Lazuli listen to the discussion taking place then found Ruby and her brother to see what they thought about the situation. She found all three of them, including Paopao training with two of the Multiforms intensely.
"Haa, brutes." She turned away and spotted Launch and Hasky sparring intensley. But they were practicing Telekinesis. Which helped with brain development. "I think I will join them instead."
Most days in the Chamber went like this. Nothing major happened until 6 months in. Especially when Mai and Bulma were placed under Medical restrictions.
The change in their biology was dangerous as their Ki kept rising. With extremely violent mood swings. Luckily Towa planned for this, and the restrictive barrier kept them isolated and didn't damage the place.
But it also took her away from training others. Katas and Guru assisted as a type of nursemaids.
