Here I am walking into the mansion with Rhea's arms wrapped in mine. We walked into the mansion together as we did weeks ago but more luxurious. Yes. you heard me, luxurious. They have put me in this beautiful velvet suit with a maroon vest and white button-up shirt. My pants are neatly paired with my suit in velvet red. It felt like a dream when it happened.
After they've told me that I could not take my blindfold off, I've just waited and waited until they would untie me. I heard a lot of shuffling as if it was fabric brushing against even more fabric. What is going on? "I think I'm ready," I heard Rhea said. Ready? Wasn't she already in a dress? I brushed it off my thoughts. I was then pushed forward and my blindfold was taken off. Rhea neatly wrapped her arms around my left arm. I stared in the mirror in front of us.
A beautiful velvet outfit wrapped itself around my figure and Rhea wore a really epic red dress with a few layers of fabric on a crinoline. A corset wrapped around her waist neatly and I just stared at her through the mirror in awe. Her hair braided into a flower bun, fitting right into the theme. "So Arran, what do you think?" I heard Athea asked. A smile carved on my face with my eyes not leaving her, "Beautiful."
That was about an hour ago, we're walking down the hallway towards the new ballroom and I still could not get my mind off of how pretty she is with a gown. I haven't paid any attention to the details around the new mansion, my eyes fixed on the floor and my legs move forward as we continued our way to the ballroom.
Speaking of which, isn't this just a tea party? Why is it that it's so grand? We walked past the hallway and into a huge room with a chandelier in the middle of the top of this room. About six huge tables were placed around the room. Rio was in the first table below the small stage. He was talking to another guy who also seems like a guardian.
A red carpet was placed on the floor leading to the stage. The tables were filled with spirits and sprites that I assumed helped in re-building the mansion. Everyone is wearing something grand and beautiful. We walked down the red carpet towards the table at the front. "We look like we're getting married," Rhea leaned her head closer to mine and whispered. I chuckled, "except we're wearing red and not white."
She joined me in little giggles as we reached the table Rio was at. "Hey," I greeted. Both Rio and the other guardian snapped their heads at me. Rio wore a graceful smile, "you're finally here. Come, take a seat with us," he invited. I gave a small smile and a nod before leading Rhea a few seats further and pulled out the chair for her. "Thank you," she smiled.
"Anything for the beautiful lady," I winked and took a seat beside her. She then stares at me in disbelief and I returned the gaze. Just a moment later, we both burst into laugher. "That was hecking cheesy!" She laughed, punching my shoulder lightly. "I know right," I laughed, agreeing with her.
"Hey lovebirds," Athea said before taking a seat beside Rhea. It cut both our laugher and had us fix ourselves in our seats. "Hey Athea," I greeted. "We're not lovebirds though," I said. She snorted, "Sure, whatever you say," she remarked sarcastically.
"Why is this so grand?" I asked. The two females looked at me in unison. "You don't know?" Rhea asked. I simply shook my head, "you guys never told me." They looked at each other with a little guilt written on their faces. "Well, Rio invited a bunch of his friends to announce that he has found the chosen one," Athea said.
"Why does he need to tell the world that the chosen one has arrived?" I asked again, getting slightly anxious. Athea stared at me, almost telling me that I'm stupid for not knowing the reason for that. "They are all guardians and they've formed an alliance when the first few so-called 'chosen one' was found. So this is an announcement disguise as a tea party."
I nodded slightly indicating that I understand what they've just told me. My attention then turns towards the table. There's a vase with red carnations and daisies. "Admiration, loyal and innocent," Rio said. I looked at him, raising an eyebrow. "That's what the flowers mean. Red carnation for admiration and daisies for loyalty and innocence," he explained. I nodded slightly.
"Do you wanna learn flower language?" the guardian beside Rio asked. "Fleur, they won't have much time to do so, I'm afraid," Rio spoke for us before we could say anything. The man with the name Fleur nodded, "but if you ever have some spare time and would like to learn, feel free to come to me any day," he invited.
I nodded with a smile, "thank you." I looked back at the table and noticed a jug of plain water. Right in front of me, there's a plate with a knife on the right with a spoon and two forks on the left. A glass was placed upside down a bit further than the plate and the silverwares. I turned it around and poured myself a cup of water.
Rhea reached out to the jug I was holding after I poured myself a cup of water. "You want a glass?" I asked, pulling the jug away from her reach. "Yes. Now give me the jug," she demanded. I snatched the glass away from her other hand and poured her a glass of water. "Arran!!" She yelled in frustration. "Shhh, people are watching," I hushed her. I then hand her the glass, "Enjoy."
Her face flushed in embarrassment from other people's staring and accepted the glass from me. She shrunk back in her seat and drank silently. I chuckled and took a sip from my glass as well to quench my thirst.
