Chapter 72 - FOREVER IS NOT ENOUGH

The man who was the so called Master of the Black Magicians, chuckled. Leaning back to the black leather chair he sat on, the man blurts these three simple words. "That was pathetic."

"Her power are slowly being awakened, Master." Another man with a black cape blurts out as he placed down a cup of tea right in front of the so called man who was their 'Master.'

"Thank you.—" He took a sip from the tea and held it tightly, staring at nowhere. "—With that, I am very sure that Cason and that one bird from the Celeste Tribe are training that wench." Massaging his forehead, he lets go of the cup and placed it back to where it was a bit earlier before he took a sip from it.

"The Princess is very powerful. We've been alive for too long, waiting for the right time to come. When she was born, I really thought that there was finally light and hope for us to continue the plans of our first ever black magicians." Another man who had pitch black hair and blue eyes came walking in, he removed his cape and placed it on an empty sofa.

"Elias, those two dorks, what happened to them?" The Master of the black magicians asked Elias, the one who currently sat down on the sofa where his cape was on.

"They caught them, those dorks really. I am very sure that Axis— The future high priest are taking care of them with that weird shape shifting bird; Prescott. Whay are you going to do now, Callum?" His blue eyes looked and locked eye contact with the Master of the Black Magicians jade colored eyes— Callum.

The man chuckled as he took a sip from the tea, not even looking away from the look that Elias was giving him. Callum had champagne blonde hair and jade colored eyes, as mentioned earlier.

"My, do you even know what are the rumors that are spreading?" Callum chuckled yet again before taking another sip from his tea.

"Stop with the thrill, you know that I do not like it." Elias clicked his tongue inside of his mouth making Callum laugh out of nowhere.

"Do not worry! The rumors are talking about the Princess taking care of the knights and are currently training. Does it ever cross your mind why, just why are they training?" Callum stood up, walked his way to the small window behind them, looked at the middle of nowhere and smiled. "We've been training for years and years by our ancestors. Our very first ancestors were killed just because they think that their powers are the one who will over throw them. It continued for years and years. We've been waiting for way too long for a daughter to be born into the Imperial Family, and it finally came. Elias, victory will be ours even if they train their lives away from this."

"You do know that we can stop the upcoming war. Its been years Callum, it's not like they will repeat the history that they do not even know of!" Elias who also stood up, with furrowed eyebrows tried making eye contact with Callum.

"Royals, don't do change Elias." Callum, with a close mind and heart blurts out making Elias scoff a little. He shook his head and walked away, his hands swiftly holding his cafe, hanging it onto his shoulders, he looked back at Callum who yet again turned his back around and continued looking blankly at the middle of nowhere.

Elias held the door knob tightly. He bit his lower lips and sighed before speaking up for the last time. "This will slowly kill you, BROTHER."

Ashleah who was getting her hair down, pouted her lips. "Nanny, are you really sure that Aziel is doing alright?" She asks Riley who was currently fixing her hair.

She wore a light pink tea length dress with a dark high neckline and a transparent with white glitters slit sleeve. A gradient colored light pink and light blue lace gloves, and last but not the least she wore a glittered white pin heels.

"Our little baby..." Nanny Riley covered her lips using the palm of her hands. "My, our Princess looks so– ethereal!"

Ashleah giggled, as she turned her head around and smiled at her Nanny who was always there when she needed her. "Nanny, you are so sweet!" Opening her arms, she welcomed her Nanny with a tight hug.

"Well then, the Duke is waiting for you outside. Have fun meeting Aziel after the longest time, Princess." Nanny Riley told her while smiling.

Nanny Riley opened up the door for her. She was now welcomed by Nash who was wearing a suit shirt and a gray jacket, a black old style tie, custom made detailed waistcoat, white formal gloves, gray suit slacks, with black formal shoes.

"Her Imperial Highness, Princess of Genry. Greetings!" Nash quickly bowed and greeted Ashleah. The Princess raised an eyebrow and giggled.

"Greetings, Duke Deoncan." She said, as she looked back. She waved her hand and walked side by side with Nash on their way to the graden that was custom made for Aziel and Giulia.

"The Princess looking gorg today huh?" Nash whispered, teasing Ashleah. The maids that they walked across bowed and gave them a smile which they replied the same way.

"Shut up. How's the deadly training?" Ashleah chuckled, Nash gave her a soft glare making her stiffle some laughter as the maids looked up and giggled behind their backs.

The two did not know that almost everyone that works inside the Imperial Palace are already having thoughts of how the Imperial child of the Princess and the Duke would look like. How their future wedding would look like too.

"It was... deadly as it is." He sighed. "–Should I also go inside?" They stopped right in front of the Garden's entrance.

"It's alright, let's just go inside and check on him." She excitedly said while clasping her hands together. With a huge smile plastered on her face, she walked inside and saw Aziel running around.

The young man saw Ashleah, his eyes beamed. A huge smile suddenly appeared on his lips as he ran to the Princess who saved her and he missed so much. "Princess!"

"Aziel, oh my baby!" She opened her arms wide and hugged the young man. She heard how those small yet cute sniffles came out from the young man's mouth.

"I missed y-you so m-much." He cried out while tightly wrapping his arms around Ashleah's neck. Ashleah wraps her arms around Aziel and picks him up.

"Hey, please. Stop crying, I did not mean to leave you all alone for a long time. Princess is sorry." She tried to look at Aziel's face but the young men did not want too, so he covered his face on top of her neck.

She glanced at Nash and smiled softly. Nash quickly caught up what he was supposed to do. He clears his throat and took a deep breath. "Hey Aziel, it was not like her Highness wished for it to happen. Do not worry, Princess really REALLY missed you too."

He sniffled again, and looked up, locking his eyes with Nash. "N-No, the maids– You're going to take Princess away from me. Uwahhh!" He cried out all over again.

The two looked at each other weirdly. Nash chuckled awkwardly and gulped slowly. "No, what do you mean that I will take her away from you?"

"T-The maids are talking about Uncle Nash and Princess getting married and t-that–" Ashleah eyes widened, she ended up choking with her own saliva.

"Hey, stop crying. Uncle Nash will never take me away from you, Princess will always play with Aziel after this conflict, okay?"

They continued to comfort the young man, the two did not even notice that it was already night. The moon shining so bright, starts twinkling up in the sky.

They were the only ones left inside the garden, Nash stood up and smiled, he suddenly remembered what date today was. "Wanna dance?"

"Dance? Really? Sure." Ashleah stood up, as they slowly danced. Nash's hands softly placed on her waist, her head was leaned on his shoulders. Nash started humming.

A song that they both heard before they got back a hundred and fifty years. "And if, forever's not enough for me to love you." He hummed the lyrics out, making Ashleah chuckled. He then whispered something to her ears. "Merry christmas, Ashleah."

"I'd spent another life baby." Yet, she still continued the song he was singing. Nash smiled and answered back. "Merry christmas, Nash." she whispered back with a smile, she almost forgot that today was the 25th of December.

"If you ask me to, there's nothing I won't do, FOREVER'S NOT ENOUGH–"

He could not even finish what he was saying when Ashleah softly pecks his lips with a smile. The song was indeed true, FOREVER'S NOT ENOUGH.
