Chapter 31 - tian avoid katie

The morning began like any other at school.

Students filled the hallways with laughter and conversation, preparing for another ordinary day.

Then everything changed.

A sleek black motorcycle stopped outside the school gates.

Heads turned instantly.

A young man in a perfectly fitted blue uniform stepped off the bike and removed his helmet.

The crowd fell silent.

"T-That's Tian..."

"Seriously?"

"He rode here on a motorcycle?"

The whispers spread through the campus like wildfire.

Girls gathered near the windows.

Boys stared in disbelief.

Tian, however, paid no attention to any of it.

As always, his expression remained calm and distant.

He simply walked through the school corridors as though nothing unusual had happened.

But to everyone else...

He looked like someone from another world.

Inside the classroom, Katie sat quietly by the window.

She watched the commotion outside with mild curiosity.

"I didn't know anyone rode to school on a bike," she murmured.

A few moments later, the classroom door opened.

Tian entered.

Instantly, the room erupted.

"It's Tian!"

"He's so handsome!"

"Did you see that motorcycle?"

"And it's a BMW!"

The attention followed him everywhere.

Yet Tian never reacted.

Not once.

He simply walked to his seat and sat down.

As if none of it mattered.

Katie lowered her gaze.

A strange feeling settled in her chest.

Her friend noticed her expression and nudged her gently.

"Tian... that's Tian."

The friend sighed.

"He's always like this."

Katie looked toward him.

Across the room, countless students were trying to get his attention.

But Tian remained alone.

Quiet.

Untouchable.

Distant.

For some reason, that made her feel even sadder.

Classes began.

The teacher's voice echoed through the room.

But Katie couldn't focus.

Her eyes drifted toward Tian.

The sunlight from the window illuminated his face.

He was writing notes without looking up.

Not speaking.

Not smiling.

Just existing in his own world.

A world nobody seemed able to enter.

When class ended, Tian stood up immediately.

Without talking to anyone, he picked up his bag and walked away.

Katie watched him leave.

The classroom suddenly felt emptier.

She lowered her head.

A small sigh escaped her lips.

She didn't understand why she felt disappointed.

After all...

They barely knew each other.

Yet watching him disappear through the classroom door felt strangely painful.

Across the room, another girl noticed everything.

She glanced between Katie and the doorway Tian had just walked through.

A knowing smile appeared on her face.

Perhaps...

A story had already begun.
