Lin Mu understood immediately. "If I take it outside, it will collapse."
"Most likely. The robes have adapted to the compressed spatial environment. Their current structure is being supported by the surrounding dimensional pressure. Remove them from this space and the equilibrium will disappear." Xukong explained.
"So it really is like gas inside a cylinder." Lin Mu understood.
"That comparison is crude, but useful."
Lin Mu smiled hearing that and spent another hour examining the white space. He checked the walls, the floor, the area surrounding the robes and then he checked the book. Finally, he studied the jade token.
He searched for hidden fluctuations, spatial distortions, dimensional seams, and even irregularities in the surrounding white void. But nothing revealed another layer. After an hour, Lin Mu finally accepted that there was no obvious additional structure waiting for him.
"Looks like this is all there is for now." Lin Mu reckoned.
"For now," Xukong emphasized.
