As I begin making my way through the mass of dream characters within Jacen's mind, they have began taking note of my presence and have started to fight against me. Or at least those on the side of the vampires. Those who were werewolves began backing me and supported my efforts to tare through the enemy lines. My claws shreded through flesh and blood slicked my throat as I tore through the mass of imaginary beings. The battle was so intense that as I moved through the ship yard, I almost forgot that this whole thing was nothing more than a dream, and I had an actual goal that had little to nothing to do with defeating the vampire forces. I searched the battle field before I again began making my way through the crowd of monsters towards the place where Jacen was battling endlessly. I destroyed many monsters creating a gory blood coated path towards the man of my dreams, or, I guess, in this case, the wolf of his own dreams. I would not let him be drug into this battle any further than he already was, instead, I will end the battle and pull him from this nightmare of his. As I was taring through the throat of a Phenix fox and flames burst out from the fleshy wound, I felt what seemed to be a whip hit my back with enough force to tare through my thick hide. I let out a bone chilling howl as I whirled on a cracononian, slicing it's tentacles off with my claws. Jacen, having heared my howl, looked in my direction and saw the bloody gash across my back. His already massive form seemed to grow as he straightened and howled in rage before he began taring his way across the battle field, dismantling vampires, cracononians, sunfoxes, and their many other experiments alike. He howled in absolute outrage as he flung the attacking vampire forces left and right, slicing them apart with his adamantine claws and ripping several throats out with his massive fangs as he plowed through the army of enemies like an out of control freight train in order to reach me. I managed to dispatch the cracononian who had whipped my back with his disgusting tentacles just as Jacen reached me. We stood together, taring the vampire forces to shreds around us. We were a practically perfect team, covering the openings in one another's guard, taking down enemies from all directions, dismantling them with ease as we continued the battle. As we fought on, a small mountain of bodies began to accumulate beneath our feet, forcing us higher and higher until we were above the tops of the shipping containers that were stacked three high by about twice their height. Vampires, cracononians, sunfoxes, slithering swamp turtles, and more climbed the gruesome mountain to meet their deaths upon completing their climb, their bodies rolling down, crashing into their still climbing companions. I caught Jacen by the shoulder as I plunged my claws into the throat of one of the approaching slithering swamp turtles. We jumped onto the corpse of the beast and road down the side of the mountain of death, ramping our flesh tobagen over our still climbing enemies as we crashed through the enemy lines and out of the ship yard. We flew up the hill towards where Victor was waiting for our arrival. Victor stood seeing me run up the hill, but began to panic when he noticed that Jacen hadn't reverted back to himself yet. Victor began running towards the exit of Jacen's mind, hoping against all odds that he would be able to make it out before Jacen's nightmare version of himself would be able to make it to him. Victor didn't know if Jacen had dreamed of having self control in his werewolf state, but he really didn't want to find out. He moved as fast as he could, but it was nowhere near enough to out pace either Jacen or me. He began making frantic motions with his hands as he ran, looking like he was doing some sort of goofy dance. As his hands moved, the light in the distance began flowing towards us quickly. He didn't stop, he was consumed by the light before Jacen and I flew through it as well. Jacen's real self crashed to the floor in the kitchen having jumped through, though, I stepped through gently, having learned my lesson the previous time. I focused hard on turning back into my human form. My back still stinging from the powerful stryke of the cracononian which drew a bit of my focus, making it more difficult to change back than it was to change in the first place. The change healed my back, but it still hurt a bit after the transformation. I winced slightly as I helped Jacen back up from the floor. Jacen saw the flash of pain that crossed my face and almost let himself fall back down to the ground letting go of my hand. Shock ran across his face as he realized that what happened in his dream was more of a reality for me than it was for him. He jumped to his feet and pulled up the back of my shirt, checking my back. I straightened, pulling my shirt back down. "Jacen, I'm OK, it was just a fantom pain. I heal when I shift. I promise, I'm fine." I said, trying to calm him down. "I'm sorry, Bethany, I should have realized what was happening sooner and broke free of the dream." Jacen said frantically. Victor spoke up, "Hey guys, I don't mean to rush you, or cut you short, but the longer you are out of your bodies, the more difficult it will be for the both of you guys to find them again. We should really start moving if you want to be back in time for the sun to rise. You don't live very close to any of the larger portals, but if you look carefully at the air you can see slight distortions. The distortions will move towards the closest portal and will become stronger and stronger as you near it."
