Aara's Room - Lee Mansion
When Aara opened her eyes, she was in her bed. Leo was sitting beside her, worried.
"Are you okay?" he asked softly.
"Oppa... why are you here?" Aara whispered.
"Of course I have to be here," Leo said. "Why did you suddenly faint?"
Aara sat up slowly. "Oppa, can we go out and talk?"
"Okay, no problem."
They went to the garden behind the mansion, where no one could hear them. Aara told him everything about the flashback — Mr. Gong and her mother.
Leo frowned. "So you're saying Mr. Gong loved your mother?"
"It seems like yes," Aara nodded.
"Then I'll find out about him. Leave it to me."
"But oppa," Aara said, confused, "if he loved Mom that much, why is he dealing with Soo Young now?"
"I don't know," Leo said. "Don't worry. Let's find out everything."
"Okay."
Leo smiled to lighten the mood. "Do you want to eat anything?"
Aara smiled back faintly. "Yes."
"Wait here, I'll go buy something delicious for you."
Leo left. Aara sat alone, thinking about Mr. Gong.
Gong's Office
His secretary placed a file on the desk. "Sir, these are Miss Aara's details."
"Okay," Mr. Gong said, opening it.
He read through her degrees, her time in London, her new position as Chairman.
"So... it seems like we have a deep relationship between us, Aara," he murmured.
"Sir, anything you want to arrange?" the secretary asked.
"Arrange a meeting with Aara," Mr. Gong said. "I want to meet her."
"Okay, sir."
Lee Mansion - Evening
After meeting Leo, Aara returned home.
Grande rushed to her. "Aara, are you okay?"
"Don't worry, Grande. I'm okay."
Soo Young appeared with a fake worried face. "Oh Aara, my dear. My heart stopped when you fainted suddenly. Are you okay?"
Aara looked at her coldly. "Oh really? Thanks for your fake concern. I'm okay."
She walked away to her room in the middle of the conversation.
Soo Young clenched her fists, thinking: Okay fine. How long are you gonna live like this? Let's see.
Jay came down with his bag. "Mom, I'm going to meet Yeri in Hong Kong."
"What? You're going to Hong Kong again?"
"Yes, bye."
"Wait!" Soo Young grabbed him. "You need to prepare yourself for the chairman election. Wait, listen to me—"
But he didn't listen. He just left for the airport.
Hospital - Night
That night, Aara went to meet her brother Jimmy, who was still in a coma. Tae Yang and Daniel were there, guarding the door.
"Aara, don't worry," Tae said. "He'll wake up soon."
Aara's voice trembled with anger. "I went to study in England without worry because I thought you guys were here with my brother. How are you going to explain this?"
Tae lowered his head. "Aara, we are sorry for that. The night of young master's accident... me and Daniel's group went to save Mr. Tang and his family. My team didn't even get information about young master. But thankfully, Mr. Tang's son Leo was there."
"Why did everything happen that same night?"
"You'll know soon why," Tae whispered, looking around. "Let's not talk about this matter here. Because the people you're seeing in this hospital are not our people."
Aara's eyes widened. "Then why are we here? This is not a safe place for Jimmy oppa too."
"Don't worry, Aara," Tae said firmly. "Me and Daniel's group are keeping an eye on them. Nothing is going to happen to young master this time."
