When Gu Yunbo came out of the school, Meng Fan had already left. She didn't go back either, instead she wandered aimlessly along the street, seeing if she could find some work and pick up odd jobs.
Days with not a single cent to her name were really too hard to endure! Back in Country M, she could still go to the Gambling City to work as muscle and earn some quick cash. Now, well, she'd made a whole round and hadn't found anything.
At noon her stomach growled. She took out the only one yuan she had left, spent fifty cents at the State-owned Restaurant to buy two meat buns, and squatted by the roadside to eat. The girl's figure was thin, her clothes were also flimsy; from a distance she looked downright pitiful.
While eating, Gu Yunbo pondered how to make money and casually asked the auntie selling buns, "Auntie, do you people here need someone to wash dishes?"
"No, no." Tch, still wants to fight them for work? No way.
