[Arena Competition]
A coincidence is a remarkable, unexpected, or surprising concurrence of two or more events, circumstances, or occurrences that happen at the same time or in close succession without an apparent, direct causal connection.
Fundamentally, it represents a "falling together" in time or space—derived from the Latin coincidere—that appears meaningful or arranged, such as running into a long-lost friend in a foreign city or thinking of someone right before they call, yet is generally considered a result of pure chance or luck.
While often interpreted as a sign of fate, irony, or a "wink from the universe," in statistical terms, coincidences are frequently under-appreciated random occurrences made inevitable by the law of very large numbers, which suggests that in a large enough population, any extremely improbable event will eventually happen.
Despite their lack of direct, logical cause-and-effect, the human mind is naturally predisposed to assign significance to these events, which can sometimes provide comfort, guidance, or even spark new scientific and personal insights, acting as "puns of destiny" that weave together separate, seemingly unrelated strings of life.
Such coincidence had actually happened for them. After days of traveling back to main land from the cruise ship, each Academy students from 6 different academies then took their respective airships to depart the porting dock of the cruise ship.
From there Shun, Lorius, and Akito promised one another to become great and keep getting stronger until the day where the three of them reunites once more. Albeit they don't even know when that day will ever come.
Never did they expect that after a couple of hours of flight and after that separation, all three of them would reunite once more on that very same day on the arena where they held the six academy competition during their second year.
This literally flabbergasted all three of them as if fate had laughed at their immediate reunion from the parting that didn't even last for 24 hours.
Never did they expect that during the time when they were stuck on the island for the exam, the academy had finished preparing the second year's for the six Academy competition and had started off during their exam.
Realizing this, all the current 3rd years immediately understood why there were no 3rd years present during the six academy competition during their 2nd year. Apparently in comparison to them which managed to finish the exam in less than 20 days, the previous 3rd years had finished the exam after 1 months and 25 days. An almost 2 months of survival.
Back then no one had found the hidden treasure so the exam concluded when there was only one student who remain in the island.
Since they were able to finish the exam in less than 20 days, they were able to reach the final round of the 6 academy completion which was the free for all between the participants.
This time without the three of them nor any of the elites in the other Academy, there was no awestriking power that showed up in the competition. However there was one students who stood out that came from Elludkal Academy.
The person himself was nothing special, he was just a noble from a rural region who grits his way in this competition. In comparison to his colleague who has flashy magic, his was cut above all in terms of efficiently using his mana. Due to this his simple Fireball was strong enough to actually blow a whole section into smithereens.
This in turn made Lorius even more interested in this student as the way he handle his mana is so exquisite that it even puts a shame towards Lorius.
As if that wasn't enough he also have his own version of summoning magic. But in comparison to Shun summoning champions and Lorius summoning fantasy weapons, that particular student was able to summon elemental spirits to fight for him.
With Shun at its starting point, more and more people become interested in summoning magic which slowly grew in numbers by the day.
Lastly he was also good at hands to hand combat seemingly from his performance.
After for what seems like awhile that particular student won the competition and got the championship title.
This soon was followed by the royal family's speech with the absence from Cedric since he partook the exam.
After that congratulatory speech, everyone then erupted in cheers followed by everyone leaving the stadium before taking a full night rest and going back to their respective academy for sure in the next morning.
In the next day in the airship dock, Shun and his group finally split off from Lorius group and Akito's group and headed to their own airship.
From there they were seen by Millia, Tony, and Shier who are currently 1st years and was able to witness the competition from start to finish. The three of them were naturally surprised that Shun and the others were present nevertheless all the members of the Otaku Club had finally reunited.
It took them a day or two for the airship to reach the academy grounds. From there Shun's group split off from Millia's group, before heading to the test result board at the announcement wall near the academy's garden.
Soon after the scores were released at immediate notice and revealed that everyone of them who participated had passed the exam. This in turn caused all of them to cheer for joy as they finally have the means to graduate.
With them passing their test, they were soon given a months time to handle their affairs before the graduation ceremony starts. In other words the academy gave them enough time to wrap up what needs to be done and pass on the responsibility to the next generation.
That in terms also means that Wendy have to pass on her responsibility as the president of the Otaku Club towards Millia and her friends.
This in term made it awkward for Wendy since this was the first time she will do such a thing of passing down the position and responsibility. Nevertheless what must be done, must be done.
From there everyone realized that their academy days will soon come to an end.
