In the early afternoon, while Sylvan Cheney was in a meeting, he received a text message from Jasmine Yale—
"I'm back home, and I've tidied up the bed. Don't find it bothersome when you come back."
Sylvan Cheney immediately replied with a text message: "Can you wait for me to come home for dinner?"
Sitting on the sofa, Jasmine Yale received the message, hesitated for a few seconds, and replied, "Are you coming back tonight?"
"Yes."
Only then did she type a few words: "Alright, I won't leave. I'll wait for you."
"Good girl."
Jasmine Yale looked at his text message and smiled.
She wasn't a three-year-old child, what was "good girl" about that?
She hadn't waited for him at home for a long time and really missed those waiting moments.
Waiting, though a boring and bland task, was something she did repeatedly time and again, tirelessly.
She wasn't a patient person by nature, but when it came to waiting for him, she put all her patience and perseverance into it.
