After the nurse left, Jasmine Yale started bustling around in the small kitchen.
The small kitchen didn't have much to offer, so Jasmine made a bowl of egg noodles for Sylvan Cheney.
"Make do and eat a little, after you're done I'll apply medicine for you," Jasmine said, "Who has been applying medicine for you these past few days?"
"Myself."
"Hm?" Jasmine was surprised, "You can do it yourself? What about the places you can't reach?"
"If I can't reach them, then I won't apply it. Why do you have so much to say?"
"..." Jasmine pouted, "So irritating."
Jasmine didn't eat much, she served herself a small bowl of noodles.
The two sat at the table, eating together.
The steamy heat and aroma masked the smell of medicine in the room, sunlight spilled in, even the table was bathed in gentle rays.
Beneath the white steam, Sylvan Cheney's sharp features were softened by a gentle glow.
Sylvan Cheney picked up the poached egg in his bowl and passed it to her.
