The director stayed until she had applied the setting powder but showed no sign of leaving. The makeup artist was anxious inside but couldn't find a chance to finish what she had started to say earlier. She was also afraid that Lin Anxin would ask her in front of the director what she had meant to say.
In her anxiety and concern, the setting was finally complete.
"Finally done, Miss Lin, everything's ready outside, just waiting for you. I'll wait outside for you, make it quick." The director stepped to the doorway to wait.
Lin Anxin stood up, looked at the obviously distracted makeup artist, opened her mouth, and said quietly, "What did you want to tell me just now? What about this advertisement?"
The makeup artist hesitated, glanced stealthily at the director standing by the doorway, bit her lower lip, and after a moment of hesitation, shook her head. "Nothing... nothing."
